I Am Who I Am

 "...I Am Who I Am"

Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” Exodus 3:13.

And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you! Exodus 3:14

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.."

And Elohim said unto Moshe, Eh-heh-yeh ashair Ehheh- yeh (I AM WHO I AM); and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the Bnei Yisroel, EHHEH-YEH (I AM) hath sent me unto you.

Exodus 3:14 is one of the greatest challenges to interpretation in the Bible. We find a Divine name for All Mighty God here.  We see four words ehyeh asher ehyeh in the first part of Exodus 3:14 and ehyeh in the second part.

There has been no consensus on the meaning of this verse for at least 2,300 years because the meaning of just four words therein has defied all efforts at being convincingly explained.

God speaks words that to Moses and the Children of Israel, these words conveyed a meaning so clear and so potent as to have inspired them to undertake the legendary acts of courage and faith recounted in the Book of Exodus.

The words of Exodus 3:14 were both highly meaningful and readily comprehensible to those who first heard them.

The words indicate the way in which God should be known by name, there is every reason to believe that they would be just as meaningful for us today if only we understood them...

There is a connotation of absolute existence in the Septuagint version of this verse.

Moses is asking All Mighty God how it is that God should be known by name. God's self-designation.

We know there is a Divine name in Exodus 3:14, that this name is the Personal name of God, that it is the Hebrew word Ehyeh and that Ehyeh should be translated into English as I AM.

I AM articulates the perfect knowledge that God has of His existence.

The words Ehyeh asher Ehyeh are God's Self-identification to Moses they are not a name. They translate literally as "I AM asher I AM"

This is the greatest ever instance of Divine revelation to humanity at that point. Until Jesus Christ appears on earth.

What we do know is that:

Jesus Christ is the self existent one who becomes what you need. He is the all becoming one, He is God.

What we do know about the context of the conversation between Moses and the Master Creator is that he is sending Moses to set His people free.

Do you have needs? Are you trapped today?
 2 Corinthians 1:10
He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us...

Velcro to Jesus Christ. Cling to Him, rely upon Him, trust in Him.

That term in Exodus 3 is also the exact term used by The Lord Jesus Christ in describing Himself in John 8:58

He will deliver you!

Jesus was telling us that it was and is HE HIMSELF that was the one that lead the people out of Egypt.

Read what Paul says in 1 Cor. 10:1   Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
  10:2   And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
  10:3   And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
10:4   And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
It was and is Christ that is The I AM of The Bible.

In  John 8:58 Jesus does apply the meaning of this Name to Himself when He says, "Before Abraham came into existence, I am", thus clearly identifying Himself as God.

"I The All Becoming One Become What You Need"

Read The Word Of God With Faith

"...And The Word Was God"

The Living Word, when heard with faith, will reveal the Lord to the listener, like Jesus said of the Scriptures, "They testify of Me."

Let the Holy Spirit reveal the Word of God to your own heart by revelation from God Almighty. Not your own brains wisdom or probing but by the Holy Spirits illumination through revelation. How many times do we try by the merits of our own intellect to figure out and understand the Word of God?

 1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

 1 Corinthians 2:11
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

The Word of God comes from above not below.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above...

That which is from below can not reveal that which is from above. It is only revealed from above by revelation of the Holy Ghost.

 Luke 2:26
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost...

1 Peter 1:12
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

What things? Those things that are being revealed by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, those things that minister to us from God's Word.

God is His Word. Let the Holy Spirit reveal this to you by revelation not by your intellect or thought processes or deduction but by the Holy Spirit.

"...and the Word was God."

Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ is God. He is found in His inseparable Word. They are one and the same.

 John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Let the Holy Spirit reveal this to you by revelation.

Brant Baker Power of Grace and Glory (part 1/4)

Some emails we have received about Brant

There are various accounts of Shekinah Fellowship floating around. Here is one account that I would trust to be accurate

Adulating Brant?

Brant Baker taught others to love and to follow Jesus Christ!

“A leader needs the guts to stand alone and look ridiculous.”

Brant Baker stepped out in faith and was vulnerable as he did something other then being passive.

“Being the first follower is an under appreciated form of leadership; the first follower transforms a lone nut into a leader.”

Some felt that Brant was a nut as he shared his vision and sought to obtain it.

“A movement must be public… Everyone needs to see the followers.”

Brant walked out in front of everyone and yielded to the Holy Spirit.

“As more people jump in, it’s no longer risky …they won’t stand out, they won’t be ridiculed.”

Soon Shekinah Fellowship existed.

“Remember the importance of nurturing your first few followers as equals.”

Some where along the line Brant had forgotten that, as some have reflectively expressed in their Shekinah Fellowship stories.

“The biggest lesson here . . . leadership is over-glorified… The best way to make a movement, if you really care, is to courageously follow and show the others how to follow.”

Brant taught all to follow Jesus, he would say, "Brant Baker has nothing to offer you, I have nothing to do with this."

“When you find a lone nut doing something great, have the guts to stand up and join in.”

Hundreds did join in with Brant Baker at Shekinah Fellowship!

What have you done? What are you doing? How many people have you personally impacted  for Jesus Christ? You know you can if you want to...

 Luke 10:3
Go your ways: behold, I send you...

 Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

 Luke 9:60
Jesus said unto him,...but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

 Luke 9:2
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

 John 15:8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Dance for Jesus! They will come...and they too will dance for Jesus...
But you must begin to dance even if no one else is dancing. Dance! They will see you and they will come.

 John 4:29
Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”

Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth...

Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

So dance the dance of  Jesus Christ before others that they may see your light and come to the feast of the Lamb. Dance!

 Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Those who won't dance will be what?

 Acts 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

I use the metaphor of dance for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. When you step out in faith to spread the gospel message God will accompany your efforts. As a result people will be impacted by you through Him.

  2 Corinthians 6:1
We then, as workers together with him...

With Him.
