Major Ramifications Potentially
"Engineers have created a new wireless communication system that allows devices to interact with each other without relying on batteries or wires for power. The new communication technique, which the researchers call 'ambient backscatter,'
takes advantage of the TV and cellular transmissions that already
surround us around the clock. Two devices communicate with each other by
reflecting the existing signals to exchange information. The
researchers built small, battery-free devices with antennas that can
detect, harness and reflect a TV signal, which then is picked up by
other similar devices."
"MIT Professor Dina Katabi and graduate student Fadel Adib have developed a system they call Wi-Vi that uses Wi-Fi signals to visualize moving forms behind walls.
How it works: 'Wi-Vi transmits two Wi-Fi signals, one of which is the
inverse of the other. When one signal hits a stationary object, the
other cancels it out. But because of the way the signals are encoded,
they don't cancel each other out for moving objects. That makes the
reflections from a moving person visible despite the wall between that
person and the Wi-Vi device. Wi-Vi can translate those faint reflections
into a real-time display of the person's movements.'"
"Following the publication in May of George Packer's alarming article in the New Yorker
revealing the state of the communities surrounding California's tech
boom, the LA Times reports that despite the wake-up call, things are
getting even worse in the Bay Area as tech companies seek to completely insulate their employees from ever having to interact with the real world.
Quoting: 'Every weekday starting at dawn and continuing late into the
evening, a shiny fleet of unmarked buses rolls through the streets of
San Francisco, picking up thousands of young technology workers at
dozens of stops and depositing them an hour's drive south. It's an
exclusive perk offered by Apple, Facebook, Google and other major
Silicon Valley companies: luxury coaches equipped with air conditioning,
plush seats and wireless Internet access that ease the stress of
navigating congested Bay Area roadways. The private mass transit system
has become the most visible symbol of the digital gold rush sweeping
this city, and of the sharpening division between those who are riding
the high-tech industry's good fortunes and those who are not.'"
"ITWorld has an interesting opinion piece on the next privacy battleground, which they say will be over citizens' rights to use jamming technology to (forcibly) opt-out of ubiquitous surveillance, as sensors pop up in more and more public spaces
and private homes alike. 'Given the rapid pace of technological change,
we don't know exactly what the future holds for us. But one thing is
certain: personal privacy is going to turn from a "right" to a "fight"
in the next decade, as individuals take up arms against government and
private sector snooping on their personal lives.' The article mentions
some skirmishes that have already occurred: employees using GPS jamming
hardware to prevent employers from tracking their every movement, and
the crush of new business for encrypted voice, video and texting
services like SilentCircle (up 400% in the last two months). 'Absent the
protection of the law, citizens should be expected to do what they do
elsewhere: take matters into their own hands: latching onto tools and
technology to give them the privacy that they aren't afforded by the
legal system. However, there may not be an easy technology fix for
ubiquitous, unregulated surveillance. Writing in Wired this week,
Jathan Sadowski warns that the tendency for individuals to focus on
securing their own data and communications and using technology to do
may be misleading. 'The problem is that focusing on one or both of these
approaches distracts from the much-needed political reform and societal pushback necessary to dig up a surveillance state at its root,' Sadowski writes."

Jesus Christ Of Nazareth
KNOWING JESUS:

Here's
the deal: The reason God made you is so you can know Him. But nobody
can please God on their own. It's impossible, because it's our human
nature to turn away from what God wants and to do what we want. This is
called sin, and it separates us from God. C.S. Lewis summed it up in
MERE CHRISTIANITY: "Fallen man is not simply an imperfect creature who
needs improvement; he is a rebel who must lay down his arms."
The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." What does "all" mean? It means ALL of us. We are ALL sinners. But it's not because of what we've done--it's because of WHO WE ARE.
Romans 6:23 says "The wages of sin is death"--the key word is "sin," not "sins." It's our sinful nature that separates us from God and makes us worthy of eternal separation from Him, not just any single thing we've done.
So what can we do? The Bible says in John 3:3, "No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." What does this mean? It means that we must become totally new on the inside to be able to please God. How do we do this? We must become like Jesus, the Son of God, the only person who has ever done this.
Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is nobody else in history who has been able to please God and pay the price of perfection--of being like God--which God demands from us. So what do we do?
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (rescued from your sin)."
Right now, ask yourself these questions:
Are you a sinner?
Do you want to be rescued from your sin?
Do you believe Jesus Christ has paid God's price of perfection for us by giving God his life--dying on the cross--then rising from the dead in victory over sin and death?
Are you willing to surrender control of your life to Jesus Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus to into your life and into your heart?
If so, pray:
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me enough to send your son Jesus into this world to show me how I can know You. I believe Jesus died and paid the price for my sin so that I wouldn't have to, and rose from the dead in victory over sin. I'm ready to give up my control of my life and want to let Jesus have control. Please forgive me of my sin and make me like You. Lord Jesus, come into my life and and be my Savior and my Lord. Thank you for loving me enough to die for me. Show me how to live for You and follow You always. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
If you have prayed this, what does this mean? It means you've been rescued from your sin and are now a child of God. It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. Romans 10:13 says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." What does "everyone" mean? It means EVERYONE. It means YOU. YOU have now been rescued and set free from your old way of life by Jesus.
WHAT TO DO NOW
Read the Bible regularly and frequently--it's your spiritual food and strength. Find a version of the Bible which is easy to read. (I prefer the New International Version.) Begin reading in the Gospel of John. Learn as much as you can about Jesus.
Pray every day. Prayer is conversation with God. You can pray any time, no matter what you've done. God wants to talk with you, and Jesus promised He would never turn away anyone who came to Him. (John 6:37
).
Find a church congregation where Jesus Christ is honored, where the Bible is taught and where everyone is welcomed.
Tell other people about how Jesus has rescued you from your sin and has given you a brand new life.

Where Do You Stand?
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE ?

The answer is obvious
Your sick friends would be healed.
Your life would bring joy instead of sorrow.
Your countenance would shine with love.
Your motives wouldn’t be what they are and your heart would be at peace.
I have found that when I simply give up and believe, my giving becomes uninhibited and a prevailing peace floods my soul. It’s almost as if I have been wrong all along about everything I have ever thought I believed. I simply begin to believe in Jesus again without the questions. I have compassion and I believe in miracles. I believe every miracle recorded in the bible just as if it is still true for us today. If they are not true for everybody, they were never true for anybody. I embrace the fact that God truly is love and that I can depend on that love in every situation.
Is healing for everybody, all the time, every time? Every demon is subject to the name of Jesus and must give way to God’s will. No demon in hell can prevail against us. The devil simply cannot violate the blood of Jesus Christ. There is power in the blood. We overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony. When we command demons to depart in the name of Jesus they must depart, and if our command is to never return, they must never return. That is always God’s will.
The destroying death angel had to pass over every house in Egypt that had the blood applied to the door. There is no way in hell that Satan could have dishonored the authoritative power behind that blood. All power in heaven and earth cannot and will not stop the power unleashed by faith in that blood. Demons must bow, sickness and disease must bow, poverty, anxiety, loneliness, and all addictions must bow. Nothing can by any means hurt you when you believe in and apply the blood of Jesus Christ.
Now I can hear the voice of human reason saying, "But what about…" I don’t care what doctrine, what logic, what scholarly theological argument that you or anyone may have. I am leaving them all behind to embrace a faith that says, "Yes and now" to every miracle of God. I have determined within my soul to believe the word of God. To take it for what it says, to believe on it and to act upon it. We are unstoppable, indestructible, and completely dependent on the predictability of God’s word. He means what He says and He even says it before it happens. What He has decreed will be.
The outcome of our faith is without doubt predicted by the word of God. It will come to pass just as you have believed. Jesus said, "Be it unto you according to your faith." If we stand in faith, as it is written, we will also receive by faith as it is written.
By faith be healed, be delivered, blind eyes see, deaf ears hear. Nothing but unbelief can stand in the way of Gods healing power. In Africa we say Kira – (be healed) and people are healed. What do you say?

Todays Living Word
The Word

2 Corinthians 4:14 (The Message)
13-15
13-15
We're not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the
psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we
believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master
Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Peter 4:12
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13But
rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that,
when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding
joy.
James 1:3
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 2:5
Hearken,
my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in
faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that
love him?
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:3
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:3 (The Message)
Discipline in a Long-Distance Race 1-3Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit!
Discipline in a Long-Distance Race 1-3Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit!
No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who
both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because
he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in
and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame,
whatever.
And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside
God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story
again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through.
That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
These
are trying times. Times when the slogans come to mind, "Tough times
don't last, tough people do. When the going gets tough, tough people get
going."
Apostle Paul knew this.
2 Timothy 3:11
Persecutions,
afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what
persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
2 Timothy 3:11 (The Message)
Keep the Message Alive 10-13You've been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me!

Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is
in for a lot of trouble; there's no getting around it. Unscrupulous con
men will continue to exploit the faith. They're as deceived as the
people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only
get worse.
2 Peter 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
1 John 4:1
Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Luke 21:28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
2 Peter 3:8
But,
beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the
Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord.
Isaiah 6:3
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
2 Peter 3:14
Wherefore,
beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may
be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Romans 6:6
Knowing
this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin
might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Hebrews 6:9
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
3 John 1:5
Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
How Far Do We Personally Trust In "Faith?"
Faith

Who is the Pope dude trusting in?
Years
ago some well meaning off duty police officers (at least that was what I
was told) had some thick steel plates installed on the interior of that
large pulpit of Pastor Chuck Smith because there were some 'death
threats' over him. Chuck was instructed to duck behind his pulpit if
anything should come up.
When Chuck saw the steel plating his only words were, "Take it out."
Chuck put his faith totally in God at this point in his life. Today, now that he is up there in years may be another story.
How far are we to go in our faith? Do we take practical steps like the Pope in the above picture? Or do we just trust the Lord that when it is our time it is our time?
I
know that Pastor Chuck has had a gun put in his face because some dude
wanted to see if Chuck believed in his God. Chuck's wife had warned him
prior to that encounter and he went into it any way. Chuck is John
Wayne!
Apparently Chuck's faith carried him through because he is still here with us on earth.
What is your opinion? What would you have done? How would you balance practical aspects of life with your own faith?
