French Man Sentenced To Two Years In Prison For Visiting Pro-ISIS Websites (theverge.com)

According to French media, a court in the department of Ardeche on Tuesday sentenced a 32-year-old man in France to two years in prison for repeatedly visiting pro-ISIS websites -- even though there was no indication he planned to stage a terrorist attack. Police raided his house and found the man's browsing history. They also found pro-ISIS images and execution videos on his phone, personal computer, and a USB stick, an ISIS flag wallpaper on his computer, and a computer password that was "13novembrehaha," referencing the Paris terrorist attacks that left 130 people dead.  An excerpt from The Verge's report:In court, the man argued that he visited the sites out of curiosity. "I wanted to tell the difference between real Islam and the false Islam, now I understand," he said, according to FranceBleu. But the man reportedly admitted to not reading other news sites or international press, and family members told the court that his behavior had recently changed. He became irritated when discussing religion, they said, and began sporting a long beard with harem pants. A representative from the Ardeche court confirmed to The Verge that there was no indication that the man had any plans to launch an attack. In addition to the two-year prison sentence, he will have to pay a 30,000 euros (roughly $32,000) fine.

Trump Will Get Power To Send Unblockable Mass Text Messages To All Americans (nymag.com)

President-elect Donald Trump will have access to a system which can send unblockable texts to every phone in the United States once he becomes the president. From a report on NYMag:

These 90-character messages, known as Wireless Emergency Alerts (or WEAs), are part of a program put in place after Congress passed the Warning, Alert, and Response Network (WARN) Act, in 2006. WEAs allow for targeted messages to be sent to every cell phone getting a signal from certain geographically relevant cell towers (or, in a national emergency, all of them). While it'd be a true nightmare to get screeching alerts from your phone that "Senate Democrats still won't confirm great man Peter Thiel to Supreme Court. Sad!", there are some checks and balances on this. While President-elect Trump hasn't shown much impulse control when it comes to his favorite mass-messaging service, Twitter, the process for issuing a WEA isn't as simple as typing out a 90-character alert from a presidential smartphone and hitting "Send." All WEAs must be issued through FEMA's Integrated Public Alert Warning System, meaning that an emergency alert from the president still has at least one layer to pass through before being issued. While FEMA is under control of the executive branch (the head of FEMA is selected by the president, and reports to the Department of Homeland Security), the agency would have a vested interest in not seeing their alert system bent toward, uh, non-emergency ends and rantings.

US Economy Added 178,000 Jobs in November; Unemployment Rate Drops To 4.6 Percent (washingtonpost.com)

The U.S. economy added 178,000 jobs in November, while the unemployment rate fell to 4.6 percent from 4.9 percent the previous month, according to new government data released (Editor's note: the link could be paywalled; alternate source) Friday morning. From a report on the Washington Post:Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News had expected U.S. employers to create 180,000 new jobs last month -- roughly in line with the average number added in the first 11 months of the year. The first release after a contentious election in which the candidates disputed the health and direction of the economy, the data showed a job market that is continuing to steadily strengthen from the recession. The unemployment rate fell to levels not seen since August 2007, before a bubble in the U.S. housing market began to burst. The fall was driven partly by the creation of new jobs, and partly by people retiring and otherwise leaving the labor force. The labor force participation rate ticked down to 62.7 percent. Average hourly earnings declined by 3 cents to $25.89. The decrease pared back large gains seen in October, but over the year average hourly earnings are still up 2.5 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

Monetization Using Christian Things

CLICK Picture TO SEE
I drew this picture with pen and ink.

It is one of my whimsical drawings .

I have the original along with many other drawings that I have done.

You can't buy any of my art here, in fact you can buy nothing here!

This is a no profit noncommercial Web site.

Not too many websites are these days.

Seems like everyone is out to monetize in one way or another.

And just to make sure they even ask for donations along with the other ways men have come up with to tap into our wallets.

Judging by all of the people from around the world who visit this particular website each month, there must be some kind of profit to our visitors.

Or they would not even come here.

I know of one wonderful Christian man who made the statement that a "Christian website should only be a Christian website."

As you can plainly see I strongly disagree with him on that issue.

I personally like the mix of interesting links along with Christian oriented postings for this web blog.

And apparently others do also or they would not visit this website.

Christian elitism?

"Elitism is the belief or attitude that some individuals, who supposedly form an elite — a select group of people with, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight or those who view their own views as so; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society.

Elitism may also refer to situations in which an individual assumes special privileges and responsibilities in the hope that this arrangement will benefit humanity or themselves.

At times, elitism is closely related to social class and what sociologists call social stratification. Members of the upper classes are sometimes known as the social elite.

The term elitism is also sometimes used to denote situations in which a group of people claiming to possess high abilities or simply an in-group or cadre grant themselves extra privileges at the expense of others.

This form of elitism may be described as discrimination as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern."

No elitism here at the Shekinah Fellowship blog, just average~Joe Christian man doing a web blog type website and having some fun while doing it.

That is my pay off, my monetization if you will.

If you are desirous of nothing but single minded Christian stuff, there are a lot of other websites out there that will deliver as such.

To be totally honest, no one truly cares what I do here.

I have a Topic Forum that no one hardly visits, considering how long it has been available.

There is reader input stuff and comment ability just under these post that no one ever uses, except for "Mel" who uses Chinese characters that english readers may not be able to read.

So it really isn't an issue when it comes to 'Christian elitism,' no one seems to mind.

But I do draw the line at monetization here.

Now that is not to say I would not one day have a web site dedicated to monetization.

But It would not be a Christian oriented web site, just a Christian owned web site.

I like to draw, you know, pen and ink stuff.

Lately I have noticed the trend of  plain Tshirts with art on them.

People from all walks of life are wearing them.

I even have seen a very wealthy man wearing them as his daily outfit.

Most of the art on them is demonic in origin.

 You just can tell.

The fallen angelic overtones, dead skulls and the wicked wings concepts shout out loudly to me of demonic influence.

My picture above is weird but it is not of demonic influence.

I like the comic book super hero stuff.

I like the odd way out outer space stuff.

I think that I might open a cafepress site http://www.cafepress.com/with my art and see if perhaps I could generate some income from it when I retire.

This is totally OK by me.

But I draw the line on anyone using the things of God to put money in their own wallets.

It is no wonder to me that every single website and person who monetizes anything that comes from the Word of God is honestly without anointing.

I mean that!

They are boring!

They don't lift me into the presence of God!

The websites that are just trying to cover the cost incurred of providing their materials without trying to profit beyond those cost are OK and should exist.

If your going to be a Christian Elitist the finest model I know of is the one that believes:

"The calling of God is the enabling of God."

"God Guide, God provides."

God needs our help in monetizing His ministry and calling over us?

He says, "I don't need your help in provision...

psalm 50:9-11
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

There was a great abundance of fish and loaves after Jesus provided:

Matthew 14:17

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

Jesus (Almighty God) had a need and provided for that need Himself...

Matthew 17:27
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

And Jesus can provide for us:

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Ephesians 3:20

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Jude 1:24

Now unto him that is able...

King David Would Most Likely Have Been Kicked Out Of Some Of Our "Respectable" Bible Teaching Schools

I was in a worship service in CCCM back in the early 90's.

There was this guy next to me who was so moved in his worship that he just had to stand up and lift his hands to the Lord as he worshiped.

Almost immediately an usher came over to him and tapped him on the shoulder, telling him, "We don't allow that here sir, you will have to remain seated so that you don't draw attention to yourself."

Now I had been at CCCM from the very beginning and could recall those incredible days of the Jesus People, all standing and freely expressing themselves in worship in many ways.

This usher was off base and irritated me by the fact of what he had just done.

One of the greatest places of freedom to worship that I know of today is the Vineyard Community Church in Laguna Niguel.

Today's lesson is about our expression in worship of the Lord.

Intensity In Prayer

Prayer and intercession must be with an intensity, yet with a creative faith that does not beg but calls into being.

That is what God wants.

In this generation we have to overcome one of the greatest hindrances to the walk with God at the present time: the need for our worship to be deep.

At times it is going to be wordless, so deep that it will be beyond utterance.

Our prophecies at times will be so referent that it will be impossible to express them.

There will be the extreme presentation of intensity.

The world will not understand it, and that probably will be the chief cause of persecution against us, as it was against David.

David was a man after God's own heart.

Even now God is raising up a people after His own heart.

Have you ever told God, "Break my heart with the things that break Your heart."

Whatever David did, whether attending a funeral or making mistakes, he was still a man after God's own heart.

When he sinned he repented with all his heart.

When he sorrowed he would tear his clothes, put ashes on his head, lift up his voice with a loud cry, and weep until he had no more strength to weep.

He had an intensity in his feelings and he was totally OK with it.

And when he wanted to worship the Lord in intensity before the ark of the covenant, he threw off his clothes and danced with all his might.

( II Samuel 6: 14-21 ) .

My home church had a pastor who denigrated emotions and feelings as if they were bad in and of themselves and of little value.

Even now, as in David's day, there are those who despise that intensity.

They are embarrassed by it and want no part of it.

They do not want to be that deeply or intensely involved with anything.

To give a corner of their emotions or a type of soulish expression is fine, but an intensity of spirit that demands everything of soul and body to respond is embarrassing to them.

This generation, in its depravity and degeneration, is embarrassed by anything that comes on strong, anything that is intense.

Michal, the wife of David, despised him in her heart and made fun of him; she was sarcastic about him.

It was difficult for her to understand that she was married to a man of God with such intense feelings.

In her position as queen she was embarrassed, and because of that the curse of God was on her from that time on.

She was barren until the day she died ( II Samuel 6:22-23 ).

Much of this generation, many in your family, children or parents, will be almost embarrassed by the intensity with which you worship the Lord.

It is true that you should honor your father and mother, but still I encourage you not to let the fear of man hold you back from the intensity with which you worship the Lord.

It is true that you should honor your father and mother, but I still encourage you not to let fear of man hold you back from the intensity of your intercession, the intensity of your prophecy, and the intensity with which you worship the Lord.

God is telling us to have the most intense crying out to God and prophesying we have ever known.

Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Any who are not filled with the Spirit, let them have hands laid on them and be filled with the Spirit.

If anything is lacking, let us believe the Lord to enter into it with all our hearts.

It is not a time for little halfway measures or even worshiping as before.

It must be even more intense.

O God, grant to us to act with all our heart and soul and everything within us.

That is what You required from the beginning: "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy strength" ( Deuteronomy 6:5 ).

Lord, we purpose not to give you anything less.

Let us not be embarrassed by one another's intensity, but let us be understanding and encourage it, in the name of the Lord.

Some come with a little, feeble prophecy as far as the volume is concerned, but their whole heart is in it, to them it is everything.

Others come on strong and practically explode; do not despise what they give either.

In this particular expression we are all gathering together that portion, that no man despise another person's offering, but rather blesses and strengthens him in it- that it will be intense with all his heart.

Have the understanding and faith for what is coming forth.

People may be worlds apart in their ways of expression, but it does not make any difference.

They can all be equally intense in their own way.

Look beyond the outward expression, and look for this intensity of heart.

Do not despise it, because when they give with their whole heart, it is of the Lord.
