A long-term plan created by 14 cooperating space agencies around the world could mean that a Canadian astronaut may get to visit the moon
sometime close to 2030.
The International Space Exploration
Coordination Group, of which Canada is a part, released last week an
updated roadmap laying out intended projects, including a lunar visit.
"[CSA space exploration director Jean-Claude Piedboeuf] suggested
astronauts could again be moon-bound in about 15 years. It would be the
first human visit to the shining orb since 1972, when NASA astronauts
Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmidt spent 75 hours there.
This time, there could well be Canadian visitors.
Their specialty: robotics. 'We're proposing a vision where Canada could
have an astronaut, effectively a Canadian who will be in lunar space,
either in orbit or on the moon and could operate a Canadian rover in the
same way that Canadians operate a Canadarm on the space station,'
Piedboeuf said."
Space is full of radiation that is harmful to all life forms. There is no way to shield life from the radiation at this time, nor has there been in the past...only machines can go to the moon.
As reported by the Washington Post, a U.S. spacecraft headed for the moon (to circle it, though, not to land) is to be launched for the first time from the facility at Virginia's Wallops Island.
If you'll be in the D.C. area on the night of September 6 and the
weather cooperates enough for a launch, it should be worth staying up
for.
"The robotic mission is to collect detailed information about
the moon's thin atmosphere. Sometimes thought to be nonexistent, the
lunar atmosphere has been described as extremely tenuous and fragile,
but present. According to the space agency, the launch will record many
firsts. One will be the first launch beyond Earth orbit from the
Virginia facility. It also will be the first flight for the Minotaur V
rocket, NASA said. NASA said the five-stage Air Force rocket is an
excess ballistic missile that was transformed into a space-launch
vehicle. It will boost the space probe into position for it to reach
lunar orbit."
Though the satellite is NASA's, the launch will be controlled by Orbital Sciences.
Almighty God has confined mankind to the planet earth. He can not travel away from the earth and live.
Near earth orbit is as far as man can ever go out into space and not be fatally radiated, any futhur then that and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster pales in comparison to the doses that are out there.
But enough of this NASA type Nonsense. We have a very serious radiation problem that no one wants to talk much about right here on earth at the moment.
Welcome to my place! It's great to have you here! AN INTERESTING WEB DESTINATION

Not using Firefox browser? You should be.
Let me explain just one of the beneficial add-on features.
"There is a growing interest in who tracks us, and many folks are restricting the use of web cookies and Flash to cut down how advertisers (and others) can track them. Those things are fine as far as they go, but some sites are using the ETag header as an identifier: Attentive readers might have noticed already how you can use this to track people: the browser sends the information back to the server that it previously received (the ETag). That sounds an awful lot like cookies, doesn't it? The server can simply give each browser an unique ETag, and when they connect again it can look it up in its database. Neither JavaScript, nor any other plugin, has to be enabled for this to work either, and changing your IP is useless as well. The only usable workaround seems to be clearing one's cache, or using private browsing with HTTPS on sites where you don't want to be tracked. The Firefox add-on SecretAgent also does ETag overwriting."
So if you have not done it already, those of you who are adventuresome can download Firefox browser and install the add-on SecretAgent.
Don't do it at all if this seems confusing to you. Your better off leaving your browser alone.
But for the tech minded who like getting under the hood...

Remember Mad Magazine and the Spy VS Spy cartoon?
"According to documents seen by Germany's Der Spiegel, the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA)
successfully cracked the encryption code protecting the United Nations' internal videoconferencing system. NSA first breached the UN system in the summer of 2012 and, within three weeks of initially gaining access to the UN system, the NSA had increased the number of such decrypted communications from 12 to 458. On one occasion, according to the report, while the American NSA were attempting to break into UN communications, they discovered the Chinese were attempting to crack the encryption code as well."
Ok...before anyone thinks this is a big deal let's look at it from another angle point shall we?
And of course there is the angle point of the renown hospitality of Manhattan NY U.S.A. , also the hotels surrounding Central Park and the fine Metropolitan opera house and the fine dining restaurants along with 5th Avenue's fine clothing stores etc that all of the UN delegates enjoy so much along with the black limos and body guards. I don't think anyone is going to be rocking this boat.
And there is the fact that the UN is situated on/in the U.S.A.
Just good old friends...Spy vs Spy?

Found On Another Blog And shared here...
On July 19, Chuck Smith sent an email blast to all Calvary Chapel senior pastors endorsing the new Calvary Chapel Association.
On July 20th, George Bryson held a conference at CC Cypress rallying senior pastors to “stay the course”… to hold to traditional Calvary distinctives that aren’t endorsed (at least in print) by the new CCA.
Chuck Smith sent them an endorsement as well.
On Sunday the 21st, everyone was confused.
Again.
Jackie Alnor just reported on her Facebook that John Higgins, a staunch traditionalist, has left the movement.
“We feel that the original calling and vision for Calvary Chapel in 1966 was from the LORD. Therefore, we at Tri City have withdrawn from the present day hype, by notifying the CCA and Chuck Smith personally that we are no longer associated with the CCA or Costa Mesa. I have spoken of this at conferences with interesting results. We speak of being a independent fellowship of believers. This took place right after the June pastors conf in Marietta when Greg and Bob Coy presented their plan for integrating with the apostasies of today.
Our church reps walked out and never returned. As a result, we have lost fellowship with many of the “Calvary’s” in our area as they have embraced these false teachers in hope of growth and (in my opinion) the hope of monetary gain.
We at Tri City go back to 1966 when we were called into the battle field. And not wanting to change our name, (we say they should), are looking to incorporate the idea of the date 1966 in our logo.
However, that is yet to be completed. Our fellowship know where we stand and we are strong in the strength of our Lord.
I hope this gives you and your associates a clear understanding of our position.
We are not fighting against CCCM and its ways but we are fighting for the Truth of God’s Word.
In Jesus,
John
As pastors all over the country begin to come to grips with the fact that sooner rather than later there will be a leadership void at the Calvary mothership, questions about the movements future are finally being asked out loud.
The loudest voice in support of keeping things as they have always been has been George Bryson.
Bryson, well know for his anti- Calvinist polemics, has kept up a steady stream of “educational” emails in support of his position.
My sources tend to discount or even mock him…and in my opinion, that is a mistake.
What Bryson is saying is that those inside the movement need to preserve what made CC unique…the independence of the pastors, the anti-Reformed theology, and the pretrib Rapture doctrine.
He also intimates that Chuck Smith agrees with him…and all the evidence I’ve seen indicates that he’s telling the truth.
The CCA statement of faith is basically a standard Baptistic SoF…unique in no way from any other Baptistic document.
The CCA also establishes regional leadership, bishoprics if you will.
Bryson isn’t interested in having a bishop…nor is Chuck Smith interested in having them either.
In an email to Bryson answering a question on the independence of each pastor, Smith said this;
“No Calvary is under or over another Calvary, we are all brothers in Christ, we all have the freedom to follow our understanding of how the Lord is leading us. If you feel the Lord is leading you in another direction, you are free to go and follow that leading. If you agree to the Calvary Chapel distinctives and desire to fellowship with us, you are welcome. What we do not want is for fellows to call themselves Calvary Chapel, and go a dozen different directions, that will only end in total confusion. The CCA board is intended only as an advisory board, not a ruling board. The men serve on this board only to help when called upon or needed.
In Christ, Chuck”
In other words, if you want to tell the CCA to pack sand…be fruitful and prosper.

In one year the United States contributed $598,292,101 to a UN budget of $2,498,618,698 which comes to 22% of the entire budget.
On the other hand, some sources like here [heritage.org] explain that the funding is actually pretty complicated, as various departments of the federal government all contribute individually to various departments of the UN, up to as much as "$5.327 billion in 2005".
I'm not sure what the actual true percentage of UN funding is that comes from the US, but the fact remains that they aren't going to do anything substantial regardless of anything the US does.
