Those Who Speak The Word Of Christ, Where Are They?

There Is A Famine In The Land

Amos 8:11
11Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Millions have been spent on evangelistic enterprises since I first accepted Christ so long ago, 1967. There are hundreds of gospel messages on radio, television and the internet daily. Book shelves are full of Christian materials telling every sort of angle point imaginable of how to do this and how to do that to increase your Christian experience. Wonderfully eloquent preachers are everywhere. There are large prosperous Christian organizations all across our nation.

But where are those who can prophetically bring to us the Word of God?
Where are the prophets? There is a vacuum in Christianity today. There are missing persons...
Prophetic ministry is the recovery of God's full purpose and thoughts towards His people.

A handful of men and women turned their world upside down as they proclaimed the Lordship and Saviourhood of Jesus Christ. The book of Acts shows a people working together with a sense of purpose, not organizations with missionary enterprises throwing money and people around while the world is still not evangelized.
The institutionalism, ecclesiasticism, commercialism, organizationalism has not been able to do the work and purpose of God.

In the year that Paul the apostle died there were churches in Jerusalem, Nazareth, Caesarea, Antioch and all Syria; Galatia; Sardis, Laodicea, Ephesus and all the towns on the West coast throughout lesser Asis; in Philippi, Thessalonica, Athens, Corinth, and chief cities of the islands and the mainland of Greece; Rome, and the Western Roman Colonies; and in Alexandria.

How did a few unknown men and women, looked upon as poor and ignorant, associated with one 'Jesus of Nazareth'-which very designation was despicable in the minds of all reputable and influential people, accomplish so much? They were not theologians or experts in doctrines.

With all that we have today, the internet etc...why can't we produce the same fruit?

The Word of God says...He gave some...prophets. People with a special function and faculty among God's people. Voices of interpretation and explanation, voices that interpret the mind of God to people.

Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

There are some somewhere right?

Prophets bring a declaration and a pronouncement of God's mind to the course and drift of things to God's people. They bring about a clear view of the thoughts of God against the prevailing course of things. God's purpose has to be reached in God's way and by God's means. Not by man's methods, ideas, programs and schemes.

God could have said to Moses, "build Me a tabernacle, OK? I leave it to you how you do it, what you use, for you know what I am after. But God didn't do it that way. God did not leave a single detail up to Moses. Every peg, stitch and thread was dictated by God.

God sends His prophets where needed to bring about detailed knowledge of God's purposes and intentions. Only the Holy Spirit of God is acquainted with all the thoughts of God and He alone can speak and work and bring things about in true consistency with Divine principles.

The Church is the Body of Christ- a heavenly thing.
Not an earthly thing. It is related to Christ in Heaven, Christ the head.

The mind of God comes to us through the Holy Spirit. He is in charge, not man. Therefore there is knowledge that is imparted to us by means of revelation and the Word of God.

With this knowledge we can be in conformity to God's thoughts.
So it is that often God uses people to remind us of His thoughts, eternal counsel and vision brought to us.

Those who are among us that God will use to speak His Words through, get our attention. We react to what they bring to us. We respond towards heaven. We, as the Bride of Christ are uplifted to see Jesus our beloved. We are brought into relationship with Christ.

Where are the prophets? There is a famine in the land for the Word of the Lord!

Ask God to send His prophets, to give some prophets.

Speak The Word Of Christ!

True New Testament Church Word And Spirit

So faith cometh from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Romans 10:17

Does it say "by an exposition" or "by a quotation of the Scripture?"  No.
It says "by the Word of Christ."

Many sermons are preached in which Scriptures are quoted; yet they do not generate much faith in people's hearts. What really counts is a person who is filled with God's Word and anointed by that Word; then when he speaks forth, the Spirit of God makes a living Word of God real to the people.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by that Word of God: "by the Word of Christ."

This was the way they preached in New Testament times. There is no question about it; the book of Acts is very careful to express exactly what happened.

The apostle Paul would go and so speak a Word from God that churches were born; and then they would begin to speak Words from the Lord.

Acts 4 relates that Peter and John were arrested after healing the Lame man at the temple gate. They had returned and were praying, when the were threatened and told that they could no longer preach in the name of Jesus.

"And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Thy bond~servants may speak Thy Word with all confidence, while Thou dost extend Thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the Name of Thy holy servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they had were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the Word of God with boldness."
Acts 4:29-31

They wanted to speak the Word of the Lord with all confidence. Their whole objective was to speak the Word of God. They did not desire an anointing upon human wisdom, but an anointing from God to speak His Word.

That is what we should seek to do too. If someone gets up and preaches a marvelous sermon and the people say, "My isn't he a wonderful preacher?" he has failed miserably.

But if they listen and then say, "That was a Word from God," he has succeeded. That is the goal. Do not try to impress anyone with yourself; try to speak a Word from God.

The sixth chapter of Acts tells that seven men served the tables for the widows in the daily ministry of the food. It is interesting to note that from the word "service" we have the word "deacon"; so a deacon is literally the servant of the church.

"It is not desirable for us to neglect the Word of God in order to serve tables" (to "deacon" tables).
Acts 6:2

"But we will devote ourselves to prayer, and to the ministry (service) of the Word."
Acts 6:4

The word ministry is the same as "service." It is a play on words. They chose seven men to service the tables while they went to wait on God and service the Word.

They wanted to take care of the widows, yet the best menu that was being served in those days in Jerusalem was not the food that was being put on the tables. "While they are busy serving," the disciples said,"we are going to minister forth. We are God's waiters, serving the Word of God to people."

That is what people receive in a real New Testament Church- course by course. The Word of the Lord is served in a prophetic course. There is singing with beautiful songs coming forth, as Scripture describes: "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hyms and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.
Colossians 3:16

Then the ministry of the Word is set before the people to teach them. Some may not like it, but that is all that is being served- The Word of God. And you will grow thereby.

And many of those who practiced magic brought their books (books of magic and the occult) together and began burning them in the sight of all; and thy counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver (fifty thousand Greek drachmas; a drachma was approximately a day's wages). So the Word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.
Acts19:19-20

They spoke the Word and then the Word began growing. What did that mean? Do you think that it meant that the Bible started expanding?

No. That living Word was in them.

Paul wrote:
You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.
II Corinthians 3:2-3.

That is what we are- a Bible that is increasing.

The great Bible of the Kingdom is increasing because the living Word of God comes to your heart and is beginning to take over. As you speak the Word, you find that it continues to grow and expand.

The number who publish that Word will be exceedingly great. This is what God wants you to have; it is what He is proclaiming. To be an oracle of God, to have God speak through you, is the greatest privilege in the world.

It is better to be one who hems and haws when speaking a Word from God than to be the most eloquent orator in the world. To speak for God is a wonderful privilege.

Remember those who led you, who spoke the Word of God to you (they did not just preach, they spoke the Word of God); and considering the outcome of their way of life, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.
Hebrews 13:7-8

That is the way the early Church remembered it.

Are There Sick Among You? James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Praying For The Sick

Brant Baker would say, "I have learned to yield to the Holy Spirit. Brant Baker has nothing to offer, it is all Jesus. I am nothing at all. If God can use a nobody like me He can use anybody."

Oral Roberts said. "I have been asked many times what the anointing is. I searched the scriptures for every instance when individuals or groups felt God's anointing. I saw that by experiencing the presence of God, they were able to do mighty exploits for the Lord. I saw, too, that when the anointing of God's Spirit did not rise up in them, they were as ordinary in themselves and in their works as any of us are today. There was no halo around them. They were not superman or super women. Thet were believers but still flesh and blood.

I focused on Luke 4:18, Jesus said to the people in the synagogue in Nazareth, where He had grown up:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor,
He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted,
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised.

The revelation came to me that the anointing is a time when God separates you from yourself and fills you with His glory so that when you speak it's like God speaking, and when you act it's like God acting. You are yourself, but you are not yourself. I mean, you have not taken leave of your senses. Still, you are keenly aware that another self-the Spirit of God Himself-has taken over and is, at that time, in full charge of you, and you are acting under His divine unction or guidance and power from above.

The glory of the Lord that comes upon you at the time of anointing removes all fear, fills you with a holy boldness, and gives you revelational knowledge of how and what to do. It is an incomparable experience. God who is in you is now flowing up by His Spirit from your belly area (your inner being) and giving you a covering that Satan cannot penetrate (see John 7:38-39).

The difficulty that I have when the anointing comes upon me...in the heat of this experience I have an insatiable desire to literally drive the sickness or disease or demon or fear or poverty or any other destructive power out of the person. I confess it is a driving force possessing me far beyond any powers of my own. My normal compassion appears to be multiplied a thousand times. My urgency to rid the person of the tormenting power of Satan almost consumes me.

The tangible presence of God- is not mine. It belongs to God. The prophet Elijah said, "Let God be God" 1 Kings 18:24. That is exactly what I had to learn to do"

God loves us. God will move through each of us.

And these signs shall follow all who believe, they shall lay their hands upon the sick, who will recover.
Mark 16:17

We read the scriptural accounts of healing miracles and we wish Jesus were here to cure the sick in our day and age. With more and more hospitals being built, doctors unable to keep up with the needs of an increasing population, and many illnesses still considered incurable, we could certainly use this charism of healing.

The Good News is, we do have the healing love of Jesus Christ with us today. The gifts of healing manifested by the Lord have been delegated to each person who accepts Jesus as his Savior, believing him to be the Son of God.

Before He was crucified, Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do myself, he will perform even greater works, because I am going to the Father" John 14:12.

Jesus was telling the disciples that ministering to the blind, the halt and the lame was not going to stop when He was no longer visible. The commission to carry on the healing work was given to "whoever believes in Him. The works would be even greater because they would no longer be performed by one man, but by everyone who professes Jesus as Lord.

Jesus made us extensions of Himself in order that multitudes of people could be touched and cured by His love. He has no hands to lay on the sick but our hands. If, as Christians, we really believe the Lord dwells within us, then it should not come as a surprise that we can pray for the sick and they will be healed. We merely provide the vehicle through which the love of God can shine forth.

Christians are accustomed to thinking that the gift of healing is reserved for certain individuals who receive a supernatural calling from God to go forth and heal. All of us can pray over the sick. Whoever means whoever. "Whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do myself, he will perform even greater works, because I am going to the Father."

You have been called, you believe in Jesus Christ. So you see, you fit the equation. Conditions are right for you to start praying over the sick with an expectancy to see God heal them. Try it. Go out and pray over sick people and see what takes place.

The Cloud Factory Revealed

The Internet

I foresee the complete take over of the internet by those who control us behind the scenes. Soon enough our ability to freely travel the internet will be curtailed by paywalls and such. Knowing this to be true Goggle is slowly getting into other revenue streams because of the fact that their current business model will start to diminish as the noose tightens upon the free access to all of the internet that we all have known and enjoyed. Here is an angle point that misses this reality it seems...
"An Xconomy column [Friday] suggests that Google is getting too big. When the company was younger, most of its acquisitions related to its core businesses of search, advertising, network infrastructure, and communications. More recently, it's been colonizing areas with a less obvious connection to search, such as travel, social networking, productivity, logistics, energy, robotics, and — with the acquisition this week of Nest Labs — home sensor networks and automation. A Google acquisition can obviously mean a big payoff for startup founders and their investors, but as the company grows by accretion it may actually be slowing innovation in Silicon Valley (since teams inside the Googleplex, with its endless fountain of AdWords revenue, can stop worrying about making money or meeting market needs). And by infiltrating so many corners of consumers' lives — and collecting personal and behavioral data as it goes — it's becoming an all-encompassing presence, and making itself ever more attractive as a target for marketers, data thieves, and government snoops. 'Any sufficiently advanced search, communications, and sensing infrastructure is indistinguishable from Big Brother,' the column argues."

"The East Buchanan Telephone Cooperative started charging cellular prices for home DSL internet service starting on January 1st, 2014. A 5GB plan costs $24.95 a month while a 25 GB plan will run $99.95 per month. 100 GB is the most data you can get in a package for $299.95 per month. Each additional GB is $5. They argue that the price increase is justified because their costs have increased by 900% since 2009. About half of their customers use less than 5 GB a month while their largest users use around 100 GB a month. They argue that the switch to measured internet will appropriately place the cost on their heaviest users. With the landmark Net Neutrality ruling this week will larger providers try to move to similar price models?"

What the internet will eventually look like...
