Question: Can you loose your salvation.

If the man remains under his umbrella the rain can't get him wet.

If he walks out from under his umbrella he gets wet.

The question is can the Christian loose his faith and start living a worldly carnal existence and still be saved?

Once a person is saved are they always saved?

When people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees their salvation as eternally secure. Numerous passages of Scripture declare this fact.

A Christian is a person who has fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and therefore possesses the Holy Spirit (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8–9).

The Bible declares that a true Christian will not live a state of continual, unrepentant sin (1 John 3:6).

The Bible also says that anyone who departs the faith is demonstrating that he was never truly a Christian (1 John 2:19).

He may have been religious, he may have put on a good show, but he was never born again by the power of God. “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16).

The redeemed of God belong “to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God” (Romans 7:4).

If you are not living a Christian life and have no qualms about it, I would seriously question if you are actually born again.

Nothing can separate a child of God from the Father’s love (Romans 8:38–39).

Nothing can remove a Christian from God’s hand (John 10:28–29).

God guarantees eternal life and maintains the salvation He has given us.

The Good Shepherd searches for the lost sheep, and, “when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home” (Luke 15:5–6).

The lamb is found, and the Shepherd gladly bears the burden; our Lord takes full responsibility for bringing the lost one safely home.

Jude 24–25 further emphasizes the goodness and faithfulness of our Savior: “To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

The Bible teaches that everyone who is born again by the power of the Holy Spirit is saved forever.

We receive the gift of eternal life (John 10:28), not temporary life. Someone who is born again (John 3:3) cannot be “unborn."

After being adopted into God’s family (Romans 8:15), we will not be kicked out. When God starts a work, He finishes it (Philippians 1:6). So, the child of God—the believer in Jesus Christ—is eternally secure in his salvation.

So if your living a life of sin and have no conviction about it, I would seriously question if you were actually a Christian.

Especially if you have been living like that for years.

However, the Bible also contains some strong warnings against apostasy.

These warnings have led some to doubt the doctrine of eternal security. After all, if we cannot lose our salvation, why are we warned against falling away from the Lord? This is a good question. First, we must understand what is meant by “apostasy.”

An apostate is someone who abandons his religious faith. It is clear from the Bible that apostates are people who made professions of faith in Jesus Christ but never genuinely received Him as Savior.

They were pretend believers.

Those who turn away from Christ never really trusted Him to begin with, as 1 John 2:19 says, “They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.”

Those who apostatize are simply demonstrating that they are not true believers, and they never were.

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares (Matthew 13:24–30) provides a simple illustration of apostasy. In the same field were growing wheat and “false wheat” (tares or weeds).

At first, the difference between the two types of plants was undetectable, but as time went on, the weeds were seen for what they were.

In the same way, in any given church today, there may be true, born-again believers side by side with pretenders—those who enjoy the messages, the music, and the fellowship but have never repented of their sins and accepted Christ by faith.

To any human observer, the true believer and the pretender look identical. Only God can see the heart. Matthew 13:1–9 (the Parable of the Sower) is another illustration of apostasy in action.

The Bible’s warnings against apostasy exist because there are two types of religious people: believers and unbelievers.

In any church there are those who truly know Christ and those who are going through the motions.

Wearing the label “Christian” does not guarantee a change of heart.

It is possible to hear the Word, and even agree with its truth, without taking it to heart.

It is possible to attend church, serve in a ministry, and call yourself a Christian—and still be unsaved (Matthew 7:21–23). As the prophet said, “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me” (Isaiah 29:13; cf. Mark 7:6).

God warns the pretender who sits in the pew and hears the gospel Sunday after Sunday that he is playing with fire.

Eventually, a pretender will apostatize—he will “fall away” from the faith he once professed—if he does not repent. Like the tares among the wheat, his true nature will be made manifest.

The Bible’s warnings against apostasy is to equip the church to identify apostates. They can be known by their rejection of Christ, acceptance of heresy, and carnal nature (2 Peter 2:1–3).

The Bible is clear that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6).

The moment a person truly believes in Jesus Christ, he or she is saved and secure in that salvation. It is unbiblical to say that salvation is received by faith, but then has to be maintained by works.

The apostle Paul addresses this issue in Galatians 3:3 when he asks, "Are you so foolish?

After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?"

If we are saved by faith, our salvation is also maintained and secured by faith.

We cannot earn our own salvation.

Therefore, neither can we earn the maintenance of our salvation. It is God who maintains our salvation (Jude 24).

It is God's hand that holds us firmly in His grasp (John 10:28-29).

It is God's love that nothing can separate us from (Romans 8:38-39).

If we are indeed a born again Christian.

Does this mean that a Christian can live any way he wants to and still be saved?

This is essentially a hypothetical question, because the Bible makes it clear that a true Christian will not live "any way he wants to." Christians are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Christians demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), not the acts of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).

First John 3:6-9 clearly states that a true Christian will not live in continual sin.

In response to the accusation that grace promotes sin, the apostle Paul declared, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" (Romans 6:1-2).

How could anyone who understands God's unconditional and guaranteed love for those who believe, take that love and throw it back in God's face?

Such a person is demonstrating not that eternal security has given him a license to sin, but rather that he or she has not truly experienced salvation through Jesus Christ.

"No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him" (1 John 3:6).

Believers are born again (regenerated) when they believe (John 3:3; Titus 3:5).

For a Christian to lose his salvation, he would have to be un-regenerated.

The Bible gives no evidence that the new birth can be taken away.

So the true question is, "Am I a Christian, or am I not a Christian?"

Need Expensive Dental Work? But Can't Afford It? Go To Mexico!

Dentistry has never gotten much respect in the United States, where oral health was long seen as a cosmetic luxury rather than a necessity.

Of course, that’s far from the truth — gum disease can cause serious complications with a host of life-threatening illnesses, and a rotten tooth can even kill you.

It wasn’t until the 1980s that dental insurance became a standard part of workers’ compensation and that American mouths started getting the care they needed.

Enter Molar City, the dental Shangri-la of the Mexican desert that’s doing what nobody in Washington has done: keeping American mouths healthy and happy at a fraction of the price.

Says Los Algodones Mayor Christian Camacho: “We’re helping the United States take care of the people they are not able to.”

The biggest draw?

“It’s the price,” Burks says. “It was gonna cost me $12,700 at home for three implants. And they found two root canals I needed, which would have been $1,600 for each root canal at home, plus the crowns.

“I got it all here for $4,200.”

We Could Have Had Cellphones Four Decades Earlier (reason.com)

Mystery solved. There actually were ATandT researchers who worked on cell phone technology years before they went to the FCC for available bandwidth.

Professor Thomas Hazlett of Clemson University analyzed the history of wireless spectrum and concluded the technology was known and available for cellphones in the 40s, but there was no spectrum available.Based on assumptions cellphones would always be luxury goods without mass appeal, significant spectrum for divisible cellular networks wasn't legally usable until the early 80s.
Instead, the unused spectrum was reserved for the future expansion of broadcast TV to channels 70-83.Here's an excerpt from the report: "When ATand;T wanted to start developing cellular in 1947, the FCC rejected the idea, believing that spectrum could be best used by other services that were not 'in the nature of convenience or luxury.' This view -- that this would be a niche service for a tiny user base -- persisted well into the 1980s.

'Land mobile,' the generic category that covered cellular, was far down on the FCC's list of priorities. In 1949, it was assigned just 4.7 percent of the spectrum in the relevant range. Broadcast TV was allotted 59.2 percent, and government uses got one-quarter."
First wireless cell phone, Motorola
"The brick" weighed 2 pounds, offered just a half-hour of talk time for every recharging and sold for $3,995. Clunky and overpriced?

Not in 1984, when consumers lined up in droves to buy the first cellular phone as soon as it hit the market.

And certainly not to Rudy Krolopp, lead designer of the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. Krolopp, now 74 and retired, still gets a "warm fuzzy feeling" thinking about the DynaTAC and knowing that "a handful of us did something that was really significant."

This brick took over a decade to get to market.

Krolopp was assigned the project by Martin Cooper, who ran Motorola's research and development effort in wireless and was ultimately dubbed the father of the cell phone by then-CEO Robert Galvin.

Both Cooper's and Krolopp's names are on the original patent along with that of John Mitchell, former head of the company's communications division.

"Marty called me to his office one day in December 1972 and said, 'We've got to build a portable cell phone,'" Krolopp recalled. "And I said 'What the hell's a portable cell phone?'"

Talk about short talk time — Krolopp and his team were given six weeks to come up with a working model.
The urgency was because the Federal Communications Commission was deliberating over whether to allow AT&T to set up a network to provide wireless service in local markets, and the phone company itself was considering making wireless phones. Motorola didn't want to be shut out.

After the meeting with Cooper, Krolopp got together with his design staff and built a conceptual model.
"We sprung it on the engineers one day," he said, recalling their surprise at how small it was at the time. "There were only eight guys in the room. Cooper said 'Anybody who doesn't believe this can be done, leave the room.'"

No one did. But it was another 10 years and a total of $100 million in development costs before the phone was officially unveiled in 1983 — the delay resulting mostly from the need to build towers and infrastructure.

Krolopp says Motorola's new Razr is "really a cut above" anything that was done in the past but still represents only "the tip of the iceberg" of what phone designers will be able to do.

"Oh, would we have loved to do that back then," he said of the Razr's wafer-thin size.

"We had the capability to design it but we didn't have the capability to build it.

We couldn't get batteries down that small, couldn't get antennas that small, couldn't get key pads to work that way.

"Technology has changed so much."

A Musician From The Jesus People Days

You can really hear the difference between today's "Performance oriented musicians" and this fine example of a Jesus People musician.

If you have the time I suggest that you turn up your sound and sit back and get ministered to by the Holy Spirit. Something that a lot of today's Christian music can't usher in is the manifested presence of God.

Theresa May says the internet must now be regulated following London Bridge terror attack (End Game)

Source: Independent

New international agreements should be introduced to regulate the internet in the light of the London Bridge terror attack, Theresa May has said.

The Prime Minister said introducing new rules for cyberspace would “deprive the extremists of their safe spaces online” and that technology firms were not currently doing enough.

The Prime Minister made the comments outside Downing Street on Sunday morning in the aftermath of the van and knife attack that saw seven people killed and dozens injured.

Just as Hollywood can make movies that seem "real" with all of the action and stunt people, so can false flag syops do the exact same things on our streets.

Some believe that in today's world we are all being emotionally manipulated into an end game for control of the earth's populations. The Bible does proclaim the the day is coming for a One World Government controlled by Satan.

Right now it seems that the powers that be want people to live in fear so that they will five up their freedoms.

The Coming "Ice Age" Of The Seventies

http://www.globalclimatescam.com/

OK LET'S GET REAL MR. NYE OK?

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." – George Santayana

US old folks were told, in the 70's, there was a coming "Ice Age" and we bought it just like everyone is buying the "climate change" myth of today.

From the 1977 Time cover we can see that apparently a new ice agewas supposed to arrive.

Only 30 years later, according to the 2006 cover, global warming is supposed to be the problem.

"Climate experts believe the next ice age is on its way."
- Leonard Nimoy, 1978

Don't believe your being manipulated with a "global warming" myth?

Well we were being manipulated with a "Coming ice age" myth during the 1970's just like you have been with the climate change myth!

There was also this definitive 1974 CIA Report on climate change (or here).

Nor were the 1970s the first example of such climate alarmism. Scary predictions of climate change (both warming and cooling) seem to be de rigueur every time there are a couple of back-to-back warm or cool years. Here are some more examples.

Here's a scholarly paper to go with the awesome collection  (PDF) of 1970s global cooling articles (and it references other papers, too).

The Senate voted on whether Climate Change is real or a hoax,  it’s a hoax and here’s why.

I’m sure you’ve heard in the news that 2014 was supposed to have been the hottest year ever.

If it actually was “hottest year ever” you’d think all the terrible calamities that are supposed to happen would be happening now but instead the opposite is happening.

1. Record Ice
In 2014 there was record sea ice in Antarctica  in fact a global warming expedition got stuck in it. Arctic sea ice has also made a nice comeback in 2014. The Great lakes had record ice Lake Superior only had 3 ice free months in 2014. You’d think that in the hottest year ever that ice would be melting like Al Gore said.

2. Record Snow
2014 saw record snowfall in many areas, remember when they said that global warming would cause snow to disappear and children won’t know what snow is.

3. Record Cold
In 2014 we saw all kinds of cold records remember the Polar Vortex? You’d think that we’d be breaking all kinds of heat records in “the hottest year ever”

4. Oceans Are Rising Much Less Than Predicted
Al Gore predicted that oceans would rise 20 feet by 2100, it looks like were on track for about a foot. 80% of the tide gauges show less rise than the official “global average”. Many tide gauges show no rise in sea level, and almost none show any acceleration over the past 20 years.

5. Polar Bears Are Thriving
You’d think that Polar Bears would really be in trouble in 2014 “the hottest year ever” but they are thriving.

6. Moose Are Making A Comeback
A few years ago the moose population in Minnesota dropped rapidly and they immediately blamed global warming, then they did a study and found out it was actually wolves that were killing the moose.

Wolves have been taken off the endangered species list and are now endangering other species so they opened a wolf hunting season in Minnesota and the moose are coming back.

It turns out it had nothing to do with global warming in fact the years when the moose population declined were some very cold ones.

7. 99% of Scientists don’t believe in Catastrophic Man-Made Global Warming
You’ve probably heard over and over that 99% of scientist believe in global warming well the opposite is true.

That talking point came from a study where only 75 scientists said they believe in global warming on the other hand over 31,000 scientists have signed a petition saying they don’t believe in Catastrophic Man-Made Global Warming.

8. Nature produces much more CO2 than man
In 2014 NASA finally launched a satellite that measures CO2 levels around the globe.

They assumed that most of the CO2 would be coming from the industrialized northern hemisphere but much to their surprise it was coming from the rainforests in South America, Africa and China.

9. It Isn’t Actually the Warmest Year.
If you look at the satellite data 2014 was not the warmest year ever in fact there has been no global warming for over 18 years.

The Reason they can say it’s the warmest year is because they are using the ground weather station data which is heavily influenced by the Urban Heat Island effect, many of which are near pavement.

Even still they had to cherry pick that data to get at the warmest year ever and it is only the warmest by only two-100ths of a degree within a dataset that has a variability of a half of a degree. The fact they they had to ignore accurate data and fudge sketchy data to push their agenda proves (IMHO) that climate change is a hoax.

10. The Hypocrisy of the Main Players
One of the main reasons you can tell that global warming is a hoax is that the main purveyors of global warming live lifestyles opposite of what they preach, they all own multiple large homes and yachts and they fly around the world in private jets pushing their propaganda.

Not to mention some people such as Al Gore actually profit from Carbon Taxes and other green energy laws.

If they actually believed what they preached they would be leading quite different lives wouldn't they?

The hoax message is simple: Get on the man-made global warming bandwagon . . . or you’re just ignorant.

But how much has the world really warmed?

It’s an important question, considering the U.S. government spends $22 billion a year to fight the global warming crisis (twice as much as it spends protecting our border).

To put that in perspective, that is $41,856 every minute going to global warming initiatives.

BUT THAT'S JUST THE TIP OF A GARGANTUAN ICEBERG.

According to Forbes columnist Larry Bell, the ripple effect of global warming initiatives actually costs Americans $1.75 trillion . . . every year.

That's three times larger than the entire U.S. federal budget deficit.

So, has anyone stopped to ask . . . how much has the globe actually warmed?

According to NASA’s own data via Remote Sensing Systems(RSS), the world has warmed a mere .36 degrees Fahrenheit over the last 35 years (they started measuring the data in 1979).

Hardly anything to panic about; however, that does mean the world is warmer, right?

The problem with that argument is that we experienced the bulk of that warming between 1979 and 1998 . . . since then, we’ve actually had temperatures DROPPING!

Weakening the global warming argument is data showing that the North Polar ice cap is increasing in size. Recent satellite images from NASA actually reflect an increase of 43% to 63%.

This is quite the opposite of what the global warming faction warned us.

In 2007, while accepting his Nobel Prize for his global warming initiative, Al Gore made this striking prediction, “The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff. It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.

Al Gore could not have been more wrong.

However, despite this clear evidence that the temperatures are not increasing, the global warming hysteria only seems to be increasing.
For example: President Obama himself tweeted on May 16, 2014: “97% of scientists agree: climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.” John Kerry, Al Gore, and a host of others have championed this statistic.

Since then, it has become clear that this statistic was inaccurate.

The Wall Street Journal went as far as to say, “The assertion that 97% of scientists believe that climate change is a man-made, urgent problem is a fiction.” Forbes headlined “Global Warming Alarmists Caught Doctoring ’97% Consensus’ Claims.”

Come to find out, the study President Obama was citing was botched from the start.

A host of other problems for the global warming crowd are emerging, such as . . .

  • Leaked emails from global warming scientists state that the Earth is not warming, such as this one from Kevin Trenberth that states, “The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty we can’t.”
  •
  • Claude Allegre, the founding father of the man-made global warming ethos, recently renounced his position that man has caused warming.
  •
  • Proof is emerging that Al Gore and even President Obama have financially benefited from fueling the global warming hysteria (click here for an internal report on this).

It is becoming harder and harder for the global warming community to ignore some of the scientific data that show the Earth is not getting warmer . . . instead, the world is getting cooler.

Which makes one wonder — why are we still spending $22 billion a year on global warming initiatives, and where is the money going? (Click Here to Read a Controversial Report on This Topic.)

Dr. Eric Karlstrom, Emeritus Professor of Geography at California State University – Stanislaus, argues that the IPCC has a political agenda promoted by international elites.
“The idea of a carbon footprint is pathetic and ludicrous propaganda, since CO2 is beneficial for life,” Dr. Karlstrom explained to AFP in an informal email exchange.
Dr. Karlstrom, who also manages website, went on to explain the “global warming” hysteria, and it’s ultimate agenda:
“Global warming is phony science that was concocted to justify implementation of an international political agenda. The idea of using ‘man-caused global warming’ as a ‘surrogate for war’ and as a way to ‘destroy excess wealth’ originated in American and UN-related think tanks such as the Club of Rome back in the 60’s and 70’s.

This pseudo-science is the centerpiece of a phony environmental movement by which the UN hopes to redistribute wealth in the world (toward the super-rich and away from the people) to de-industrialize the industrialized countries (via the UN Kyoto Protocol-type carbon taxes, cap and trade schemes, etc.), and radically reduce the human population.”
“Climate change” is another example of unproven science that has been used to justify taxation and international control of hydrocarbon energy.

Almost 32,000 Americans with science degrees, including over 9,000 with Ph.D.s, signed a petition that there is no convincing evidence that greenhouse gasses cause catastrophic climate change.

On its website, Global Warming Petition Project,” the project behind
the petition explains:

“The campaign to severely ration hydrocarbon energy technology has now been markedly expanded.

In the course of this campaign, many scientifically invalid claims about impending climateemergencies are being made.

Simultaneously, proposed political actions to severely reduce hydrocarbon use now threaten the prosperity of Americans and the very existence of hundreds of millions of people in poorer countries.”

Stanford University researchers cite climate change as the “Ridiculously Resilient Ridge” that hovers over the Pacific Ocean and diverts moisture-carrying winds north “like a large boulder that has tumbled into a narrow stream.”
However, Elana Freeland, author of Chemtrails, HAARP and the Full Spectrum Dominance of Planet Earthhas uncovered evidence that may explain the extremeweather, such as the drought in California that is forcing people to pump more than usual from the aquifer.

CONTINUED HEAVY AEROSOL SPRAYING STOPPED THE RAIN POTENTIAL OF THE GIANT UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM, ROBBING SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ONCE AGAIN OF NEEDED RAINFALL.

ONLY 0.16" of rain fell today despite the giant moisture field.

A 974mb storm is seen in the video being targeted by a transmitter - we can see the square imprints from the heat generated by the microwave transmitter.

A very straight-edge outline is visible for 1000+ miles on the outside North edge of the storm while the interior of the storm's core has a fairly square right-angle imprinted from the same transmitter.

Observe how the core evaporates from the RF energy in the form of heat, and the frontal system is disconnected - this is intended and it weakens the system over two to three days.

Hollywood Is Fighting Billionaire Sean Parker's Plan To Let You Rent Movies Still in Theaters For $50 (businessinsider.com)

Billionaire Sean Parker's plans to bring movies to your home as soon as they release in theaters has hit new roadblocks.

After receiving praises for "Screening Room" from directors and producers Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, J.J. Abrams, and Peter Jackson, as well as Hollywood studios, the buzz for the startup has started to wane.

From a report: Though Parker and cofounder Prem Akkaraju have promoted the company in the last two years at CinemaCon, it's gotten little traction due to a naivete of the industry, competitors, and studios' and theater chains' decade-long discussion about how to move forward on Premium VOD (PVOD) (alternative source), Business Insider has learned.

"Everything you've heard in the press about studios and theaters wanting to explore a PVOD window, nothing about that revolves around Screening Room," a source close to the talks told Business Insider.

Screening Room's main pitch to studios and exhibitors has been that it can bring added revenue to all sides of the equation. Out of the proposed $50 rental fee, 20% would go to the movie's distributor, and a participating theater chain would get up to $20 of the fee, plus each customer receives two tickets to see that rented title at their local theater. Screening Room would take 10% of each fee.

Sources told Business Insider that all of the bells and whistles Screening Room is selling don't matter until the studios and theaters can agree on a Premium VOD (or PVOD) window. Industry players don't want movies to be available on PVOD simultaneously with theatrical release dates because the first two weeks of a theatrical run are still when studios and exhibitors get a majority of a movie's income.

Sean Parker Is Going To Great Lengths To Ensure 'Screening Room' Is Piracy Free, Patents Reveal (torrentfreak.com)

Napster co-founder Sean Parker has been working on his new service called Screening Room, which when becomes reality, could allow people to watch the latest Hollywood blockbusters in their living room as soon as they premiere at the box office. This week we get a glimpse at the kind of technologies Parker is using to ensure that the movies don't get distributed easily

Here are just two publicly accessed roadblocks to this endeavor out of dozens that are easily found on the net:

https://popcorntime-online.tv/

There is all-so the bittorrent sites.

So why even try to charge $50.00 a current screening movie when people obviously are using other means to access them.

One has to recall how TOWER RECORDS was the most successful record store on earth at one point. It went to their heads and they never imagined that they could fall off of their lofty pedestal.

"I don't like the title 'The Father of MP3,'" says Karlheinz Brandenburg. But he kinda is.

Then along come the likes of Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker who fathered the P2P fiel sharing service Napster.

All of a sudden people had free access to every kind of music file. For three glorious years users could check out each others music collections and aquire music for free from one another.

And then came along Best Buy who had lower price tags for music then Tower Records had. Tower was proud and refused to lower their prices. Sales dropped like a lead ballon and the banks called in their loans that fueled the expansion of Tower Records forcing the sale of their only profitable store in Japan.

They went out of business.

Draw your own conclusions...

From a report:

Over the past several weeks, Screening Room Media, Inc. has submitted no less than eight patent applications related to its plans, all with some sort of anti-piracy angle.

For example, a patent titled "Presenting Sonic Signals to Prevent Digital Content Misuse" describes a technology where acoustic signals are regularly sent to mobile devices, to confirm that the user is near the set-top box and is authorized to play the content.

Similarly, the "Monitoring Nearby Mobile Computing Devices to Prevent Digital Content Misuse" patent, describes a system that detects the number of mobile devices near the client-side device, to make sure that too many people aren't tuning in.

The general technology outlined in the patents also includes forensic watermarking and a "P2P polluter." The watermarking technology can be used to detect when pirated content spreads outside of the protected network onto the public Internet. "At this point, the member's movie accessing system will be shut off and quarantined.

If the abuse or illicit activity is confirmed, the member and the household will be banned from the content distribution network," the patent reads. [...] Screening Room's system also comes with a wide range of other anti-piracy scans built in. Among other things, it regularly scans the Wi-Fi network to see which devices are connected, and Bluetooth is used to check what other devices are near.
