Revival Asbury 1970

An open post to those left behind when Pastor Chuck Smith and Paul Crouch Went Home

There is a numbness as we all are stunned by the sudden turn of events. We have lost two men of God recently from two differing camps of Christianity.

By all rights they would want everyone to move ahead into new territory and accomplishment in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The right thing to do is to reevaluate one's own position in the Lord and one's perceived calling in Christ. What is it that you do for Christ? What is it that comes through your life with little to no effort?

Paul made an empire that has more viewers then NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox. Pastor Chuck Smith  spawned a whole denomination of churches under the Calvary Chapel brandname.

So the question is, "what have you done for the Lord? What are you doing?

Have you stopped and entered into neutral, not attempting to knock on doors or to seek any longer?

Were you called by the Lord, did you have an experience that caught your attention at one point in your life that caused you to lay hold of a dream that never quite materialized into reality?

You will receive your promise when you develop a fighting spirit to take back what the enemy has tried to steal from you, be it your home, your health, your finances, your children, your mind, your peace, whatever it is, Fight in the Spirit to obtain Victory in the Natural.

You don’t have to accept the current status quo, your current circumstances and your current situations if they don’t represent the Jeremiah 29:11 promise.

When you fight, don’t use your own might and power, for you will lose if you do. Seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, for what you war in the Spirit can only be fought by the Holy Spirit, so Fight with God on your side.
Remember, you can only win with God on your side so always seek strategies of engaging a spiritual battle with Divine wisdom that comes from the Almighty God.

 Zechariah 4:6
So he answered and said to me: “ This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts

I believe that there will be people who will rise up and take possession of their promises that the Lord has prepared for them because they believe in the Word of the Lord over their circumstances. Whose report will you believe? I will believe in the Report of the Lord. Don’t look at the desert that you are in right now and think of the Latter RAIN that God wants to pour into your life.

Mark 9:23
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Believe for: The Rain of Blessings, the Latter Rain, the Overflow and the Gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT. I’m looking out for my Rainy season and Praying for the Overflow. What are you Praying for? Do you want the latter Rain? Ask yourselves these questions in your meditations.

Maintain the FOCUS and fix your eyes on Jesus Christ, Holy God, Our Counselor, Prince of Peace and the Author and Finisher of your Faith (Hebrews 12:2).

The Man Who Made TBN Has Gone On To Meet His Maker

Paul Crouch, a pioneering televangelist who founded Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world’s largest Christian TV network, died today, according to the network's website. He was 79.
The church reported in October that Crouch had fallen ill and was taken to a Dallas-area hospital while on a visit to a TBN facility in Colleyville, Texas. He had "heart and related health issues," the church said, and he was later returned to California for continued treatment.

He had two sons. Both have exhibited the proclivity for luxury lifestyles as their father had. It will be interesting to see if any sort of infighting comes to the attention of the press over the 3 billion dollar machine that Paul built.

You know I was there when Paul started TBN with Jimmy Baker in Santa Ana. We all were so excited about what we perceived the Lord was doing through these men of God. Looking back we now know all about Jimmy Baker and we know that the money went to Pauls head.

"The televangelist ministry has been embroiled in controversy during the last year, including a legal battle with Crouch’s granddaughter, who alleges she was fired after uncovering “illegal financial schemes” amounting to tens of millions of dollars.

In a lawsuit, Brittany Koper alleged the ministry had committed financial fraud and engaged in lavish spending, including the purchase of a $100,000 motor home for family dogs.

Network lawyers countered in a separate lawsuit that the granddaughter used forged documents to embezzle funds to buy trucks, jewelry, a fishing boat, a motorcycle, a Lexus and life insurance.

TBN has been the subject of controversy before. In 2010, the network settled a suit on confidential terms with a broadcast engineer who alleged he was discriminated against because he was gay. In another case, the network paid a $425,000 settlement to a former employee who said he had a homosexual encounter with televangelist Crouch, who denied the accusation.

Network preachers have been aggressive advocates of the “prosperity gospel,” the belief that God will bestow financial rewards on donors who give generously."

A Young Lonnie Frisbee On Big Corona Beach During A Baptismal
Anyone who experienced what it was like to be in the atmosphere of Calvary Chapel when it started will certainly recall this man of God, Lonnie Frisbee.

Everywhere this man went things happened. He started Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa with Pastor Chuck Smith which established hundreds of duplicate churches around the world. He also spawned the Jesus People Movement in north America.

Then he started the foundation of what would become Greg Laurie's Harvest Crusades.  Greg is one of Lonnie's spiritual sons in the Lord who took over a small ministry that Lonnie Started at All Saints Church in Riverside County CA.

He helped start the Vineyard Association of Churches with Pastor John Wimber which spread around the world.

Then he went to Africa and started a South African Revival that spread across the continent of Africa. Lonnie never knew the impact he had on Africa. It wasn't until years after Lonnie's death that a pastor from Africa contacted Stan Frisbee and shared how in just one of the bible studies alone that Lonnie gave in Africa 200 men went out and started churches all over Africa that were still thriving.

No other man of God in this our time has accomplished as much as this man had done in his short life time.

Not The Water Of Life

So What's In Your Water?

A vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.

Another issue: There's evidence that adding chlorine, a common process in conventional drinking water treatment plants, makes some pharmaceuticals more toxic.

In 2005, eleven EPA employee unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals of the Civil Service called for a moratorium on drinking water fluoridation programs across the USA and asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people. The unions acted on an apparent cover-up of evidence from Harvard School of Dental Medicine linking fluoridation with an elevated risk of osteosarcoma in boys, a rare but fatal bone cancer.[53] [3]
In addition, over 1000 health industry professionals, including doctors, dentists, scientists and researchers from a variety of disciplines are calling for an end to water fluoridation in an online petition to Congress. [4]
Their petition highlights eight recent events that they say mandates a moratorium on water fluoridation, including a 500-page review of fluoride’s toxicology that was published in 2006 by a distinguished panel appointed by the National Research Council of the National Academies. [5] While the NRC report did not specifically examine artificially fluoridated water, it concluded that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's safe drinking water standard of 4 parts per million (ppm) for fluoride is unsafe and should be lowered. Despite over 60 years of water fluoridation in the U.S, there are no double-blind studies which prove fluoride's effectiveness in tooth decay. The panel reviewed a large body of literature in which fluoride has a statistically significant association with a wide range of adverse effects.[54]
Several prominent dental researchers and government advisors who were leaders of the pro-fluoridation movement have announced reversals of their former positions after they concluded that water fluoridation is not an effective means of reducing dental caries and that it poses serious risks to human health. The late Dr. John Colquhoun was Principal Dental Officer of Auckland, New Zealand. In an article titled, "Why I changed my mind about water fluoridation", he published his reasons for changing sides. [6] [55]
Dr. Hardy Limeback, BSc, PhD, DDS was one of the 12 scientists who served on the National Academy of Sciences panel that issued the aforementioned report, Fluoride in Drinking Water: A Scientific Review of the EPA's Standards. Dr. Limeback is an associate professor of dentistry and head of the preventive dentistry program at the University of Toronto.[56] He detailed his concerns in an April 2000 letter titled, "Why I am now officially opposed to adding fluoride to drinking water". [7]
In a presentation to the California Assembly Committee of Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials, Dr. Richard Foulkes, B.A., M.D., former special consultant to the Minister of Health of British Columbia, revealed:
The [water fluoridation] studies that were presented to me were selected and showed only positive results. Studies that were in existence at that time that did not fit the concept that they were "selling," were either omitted or declared to be "bad science." The endorsements had been won by coercion and the self-interest of professional elites. Some of the basic "facts" presented to me were, I found out later, of dubious validity. We are brought up to respect these persons in whom we have placed our trust to safeguard the public interest. It is difficult for each of us to accept that these may be misplaced.[8]
Despite widespread concern by scientists and private citizens, government agencies such as the CDC and WHO continue to support water fluoridation as being a safe and effective means of reducing dental decay.

A doctor speaks out against:

Why would anyone want to put fluoride in the water if it didn't reduce tooth decay? How did this theory get started and who stands to gain by it?

The Lord Is With Us

Immanuel

The Bible connects us with persons; place names, personal names- hundreds of them. What we often consider to be the subjects of religion- ideas, truths, prayers, promises, beliefs- are never permitted to have a life of their own apart from particular persons and actual places. Biblical religion has a low tolerance for 'great ideas' or 'sublime truths' or 'inspirational thoughts' apart from the people and places in which they occur. God's great love and purposes for us are worked out in the messes, storms and sins, blue skies, daily work, and dreams of our common lives, working with us as we are and not as we should be.

In our downsittings and in our uprisings, God is with us. Emmanuel/Immanuel, God with us: (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:22-23) . God's real presence with us. The Immanuel created us, redeemed us, is in love with us... and He is with us right now, to help us, to guide us, to fill us with the love and joy and peace that the world can't give, right now!... and, what is even better, nothing and no one can take it away from us, not even death! (Rom.8:28-39).

That explains how Almighty God could use men such as Brant Baker or Lonnie Frisbee, even though they struggled with their flesh man. Or how God could use such as you or I. One of the magnificent things about the ministry of Brant Baker is that he had a way of communicating to his listeners God's love for them. He was able to share the Father's love with and for us just as we are, warts and all. Brant taught us about Immanuel in such a way that we got it, we understood that God was with us and involved in all of our lives always and forever.

This is the Immanuel, the Word, the Messiah, in the New Testament:- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (Jn.1:1-3, 14).

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him...and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church... For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him... making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Col.1:16-20).

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Is.9:6).

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:This is the Immanuel prophesied in Isaiah 7, born of a virgin, of Virgin Mary (Is.7:14, Mat.1:22-23)... He is the seed of the woman of Gen.3:15...He is the same one proclaimed by Paul, when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman (Gal.4:4).

And now Isaiah speaks of, in the prophetic style, as a thing already done: the child is born, unto us a son is given... As he was the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world, so he was the child born (Rev.13:8)... the redemption of the Cross has a retroactive value up to Adam himself, and that's why all the prophets were saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ (Lk.13:28, Mat.8:11)."Unto us" a son is given: Not to the fallen angels but "unto us", to humankind, to every man and woman since Adam.

1- Wonderful: Miraculous, fantastic, magnificent, spectacular... fully God and fully man, the wonder of wonders in the universe and of humankind... for you and for me!.

2- Counsellor:. Lawyer, advocate, defender, adviser, instructor, teacher, trainer, tutor... unto us!... Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (Rom.8:34).

3- Mighty God: He is God!, the mighty One, the Only One God: Spirit, who creates, maintains, controls and substances all things (Jn.1:1-3, Col.1.15-17)...

4- The everlasting Father: The eternal Father, because He is the Creator of every human being... and the second creator, because He redeemed every human being since Adam. (Jn.1:1-3, Col.1.15-17). Indeed 'our Father' all the way. Our parents don't know how to make eyes not hearts nor even a hair!... it is God who created you and me, it is the Immanuel, Jesus, your real Father and mine.

5- Prince of Peace: Heir to throne, ruler, the establisher and overseer of peace. He will establish His throne in peace.Jesus' death and resurrection made Him not only The Prince of Peace but actually the One who is our peace. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Is.53:5)... 5 He will be their peace. (Mic.5:5)

.As a King, he creates peace, in his kingdom, he preserves the peace, commands peace. He is our peace, and it is his peace that both keeps the hearts of his people and rules in them. He is not only a peaceable prince, and his reign peaceable, but he is the author and giver of all good, all that peace which is the present and future bliss of his subjects.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Is.9:7).

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. (Is.51:6...Is.66:15-16, 2Pet.3:10-13).

Praise the Lord Immanuel!

David

Jet Feul Is Expensive So Jets Fly From Point A To Point B In As Straight A Line As Possible

Unless you are a chemtrail tanker. You can fly in circles as you lay down your deadly plumes of chemicals in the skies over the earth...

These pictures were taken above my head on 11/27/2013, with my cell phone.
The last few weeks, here in Orange County CA, the Chemtrailers have been laying down lines and artificially creating clouds and overcast above us. One can only wonder to what purpose they relentlessly do it.

The whole mess is sickening to see knowing that none of it is natural. As you listen to your local weather man lie about it you wonder about how powerful those who do it must be to completely control even the media surrounding weather reporting.

The Daniel Fast

The Daniel fast is growing in popularity, often prompted by Christians’ desire for a deeper form of prayer. Many are reporting lasting physical benefits, too.

Son Of God

Son of God comes to theaters February 28, 2014. Now, the larger-than-life story of The New Testament gets a larger-than life treatment in the stand-alone feature SON OF GOD. Told with the scope and scale of an action epic, the film features powerful performances, exotic locales, dazzling visual effects and a rich orchestral score from Oscar®-winner Hans Zimmer. Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado portrays Jesus as the film spans from his humble birth through his teachings, crucifixion and ultimate resurrection. It marks the first motion picture about Jesus's life since Passion of the Christ, released ten years ago.

We're supposed to give back?
Lately in the media we've noticed that there is a big push to encourage people to "Give back." This begs the question, what are we supposed to be giving back and to whom are we giving it? And what are we supposed to be giving back? And why are we supposed to be giving back? They are replacing Christmas with the new "The season of giving."

So who earns the minimum wage?

He prayed. He won. And then he disappeared. Will we ever see Tim Tebow in the NFL again?

A startup called Iotera wants to let you track your pets, your kids, or your belongings without relying on commercial wireless networks.

A series of deadly earthquakes that shook New Zealand in 2010 and 2011 may have weakened a portion of Earth's crust, researchers say.

And man did it...Christ Church New Zealand was a man-made disaster ordered by the UN...

Christianity in the news

"The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." 1 Timothy 5:17

Christianity appears under increasing attack in our culture from all directions. The latest news came last Friday when a Wisconsin judge, appropriately named Crabb, ruled the ministerial housing allowance is unconstitutional. We recently noted such fallout could occur as a side-effect of the controversies surrounding a relatively small number of ministers owning multimillion dollar mansions. Under a 1954 law meant to help the clergy who are typically poorly paid, the government established the right of churches and other religious groups to provide part of an ordained minister's compensation as a tax free housing allowance. Accordingly, some mansion owning, mega-church pastors like Stephen Furtick, Joel Osteen and Ed Young could be pulling down tax free housing allowances worth six figures annually. The sins of a few often cause pain for many innocent bystanders.
Benny Hinn's "Parish" is located among the kings of the earth behind a luxury guard gated entry way in southern California where few can afford to live.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

If we are right about the potential for a future clash over churches tax free status, you will want to be prepared for the battle with good information regarding the economic benefits churches bring to their community. Fortunately, such a study has already been prepared and additional such research is expected to be completed soon. Richard Ostling at the Get Religion blog posted an article which you should familiarize yourself with. Ostling reviews the work of Ram Cnaan of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice on the subject of the value of a church in a community versus the cost of lost tax revenue due to its tax free status.

Freed Brother Saeed Iran!

Saeed-Abedini-ACLJPastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, has been imprisoned in Iran for over a year for the crime of being a Christian.
In recent negotiations with the government of Iran his plight was ignored by our administration.
We cannot, will not, do the same.
As member of the church militant, the Body of Christ, when one member suffers we all suffer.
Our brother is suffering…and we must enter into that suffering with him and seek God’s power to free him.
This is what I propose.
I propose the single loudest outpouring of support via social media to free Saeed in the history of the church.
On Wednesday December 4, every Christian with a platform, great or small, will feature Saeed on it and demand that our government secure his release.
If you have a Facebook page, you have a platform.
We will use the Twitter hashtag #freesaeed… use it on Facebook and other social media as well.
Our scattered voices can be ignored, but if we can come together across denominational and political lines as one voice the church may break prison chains once again.
We need every single Christian to spread the word to friends, family and any media outlets.
Pastors, we need it featured on your websites and blogs.
Bloggers, we need it on your front page.
Brothers and sisters, we need your Facebook status.
We welcome any ideas to further this cause and we covet your participation and promotion.
This is an historical moment for the American church…shall we participate in it or pass?
Please feel free to copy this content or modify this content, and post it as your own on your own media!

Some Greek From Your Local Geek

"The hardware of Improv is extremely capable: a dual-core ARM® Cortex-A7 System on Chip (SoC) running at 1Ghz, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of on-board NAND flash and a powerful OpenGL ES GPU. To access all of this hardware goodness there are a variety of ports: 2 USB2 ports (one fullsize host, one micro OTG), SD card reader, HDMI, ethernet (10/100, though the feature card has a Gigabit connector; more on that below), SATA, i2c, VGA/TTL and 8 GPIO pins. The entire device weighs less than 100 grams, is passively cooled and fits in your hand. Improv comes pre-installed with Mer OS, sporting a recent Linux kernel, systemd, and a wide variety of software tools. By default it boots into console, so if you are making a headless device you needn't worry about extra overhead running that you don't need. If you are going to hook it up to a screen (or two), then you have an amazing starting point with choices such as X.org, Wayland, Qt4, Qt5 and a full complement of KDE libraries and Plasma Workspaces. Improv takes advantage of the open EOMA68 standard to deliver a unique design: the SoC, RAM and storage live on one card (the 'CPU card'), the feature ports are on a PCB it docks with (the 'feature board'). The two dock securely together with the CPU card sitting under the feature board nestled in a pair of rails; they are undocked from each other by pushing a mechanical ejector button." Check out the specs and pictures. The card is available now for $75. Improv is open hardware, with the schematics licensed under the GPL and available soon.

The problem Identified...

"The idea that 'failure is not an option' is a fantasy version of how non-engineers should motivate engineers. That sentiment was invented by a screenwriter, riffing on an after-the-fact observation about Apollo 13; no one said it at the time. (If you ever say it, wash your mouth out with soap. If anyone ever says it to you, run.) Even NASA's vaunted moonshot, so often referred to as the best of government innovation, tested with dozens of unmanned missions first, several of which failed outright. Failure is always an option

Engineers work as hard as they do because they understand the risk of failure. And for anything it might have meant in its screenplay version, here that sentiment means the opposite; the unnamed executives were saying 'Addressing the possibility of failure is not an option.' ... Healthcare.gov was unable to complete even a thousand enrollments a day at launch, and for weeks afterwards.

As we now know, programmers, stakeholders, and testers all expressed reservations about Healthcare.gov's ability to do what it was supposed to do. Yet no one who understood the problems was able to tell the President. Worse, every senior political figure—every one—who could have bridged the gap between knowledgeable employees and the President decided not to.

And so it was that, even on launch day, the President was allowed to make things worse for himself and his signature program by bragging about the already-failing site and inviting people to log in and use something that mostly wouldn't work.

Whatever happens to government procurement or hiring (and we should all hope those things get better) a culture that prefers deluding the boss over delivering bad news isn't well equipped to try new things.'"

Go Stanford!
At Kurzweil AI, an article proclaims that the next wonder material for computer chips may be an unexpectedly common one: "Move over, graphene. 'Stanene' — a single layer of tin atoms — could be the world’s first material to conduct electricity with 100 percent efficiency at the temperatures that computer chips operate, according to a team of theoretical physicists led by researchers from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and Stanford University." Where are you heading? What is your true goal in life? To be "somebody?" To have wealth and things?

Cisterns that hold no water

Dear people of God, I was literally in tears as I prepared this message today. Looking out at the Body of Christ, and especially at the leadership- not with a critical eye, but with an aching heart- I am weeping with the prophet Jeremiah, "My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken Me, the Spring of Living Water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water" (Jeremiah 2:13).

I pray as I give this message that it is received by believers as their hearts are reaching out to Christ in the most sincere way, that they- WE- all of us together- would seek nothing but His Own Heart at this very moment...

In the passage here, God's heart is grieved as He watches His own people seeking after other things than Himself. He knows that only HE is the true spring of living water. He created man with an unquenchable need for Him, and we were designed in a way that we require Him ultimately and Him alone. He knew that nothing of our own devises would ever satisfy the genuine longing that He put in our heart for Him, yet here He is, watching His beloved children attempt do just that...

Now Jeremiah, as you know, was called 'the weeping prophet' because he could actually feel the pain in God's heart for His wayward people, as he was constantly calling them back to Him. It was a very deep, intimate calling that Jeremiah had. It was also very intense and painful, but it was God's call on his life, and he was faithful in it throughout his life. "They have forsaken Me, the Spring of Living Water, and have dug THEIR OWN cisterns- BROKEN cisterns that CANNOT hold water". What was a cistern for? For holding water!

What can you do with a broken one? Leaving God and going our own way, even in 'small areas' in our life, will always prove to be a 'broken cistern'- always!.....

I have watched as some of Christanity's leaders today- people who probably started out with a passion for Christ and Him alone, falling prey to the 'good life', the 'comfortable life', the 'way of least resistance', or the 'prosperous' life. They got a taste of the gold, and slowly began to go after it, then they began to run after it, then to crave it. They have forgotten their Lord, though they use His name all day long!

They have dug their own cisterns, and all the while God's heart grieves for them! Look at Israel throughout the old testament- starting with God's promise, then bragging that "we will do all that the Lord our God has told us!", then falling away and following their own devises- again and again and again. Turning their backs on the very One who would gladly have given them all their heart's desires if they would only seek Him... yet their God would bring them back every time, many times through extreme pain and suffering....

I'll tell you that today's new believers are being cheated! How will they grow in grace? How will they stay passionate about their Savior when God's 'leaders' have gone their own way? Where is the proclamation of the cross? Why won't God's ministers preach Christ as He is, not as we would have Him? How will the Savior's wonderful Presence ever come forth, when His preachers are more interested in manufacturing their own cheap imitation of it? Who are they fooling? Beloved, the world TODAY needs to see Jesus!

Not our own impression or imitation of Him, but HIM! He is here, and He is here now! Covet His Presence in your life, and covet to have the grace to show Him to others. Only He can heal this lost world. Look only to Him.

En Agape,
pastor Jim Ewing

I have a very deep secret

I want as much of God as I can get! How about you?

I was born again in January of 1975. The church I attended was of the full-gospel variety, and I was baptized in the Holy Ghost three weeks after the Lord had apprehended me from the world.

I had no difficulty believing in the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12, and the Lord even used me at times in manifesting some of them. However, after a few years, I began to listen to some of the well known radio preachers who believed that those gifts were not for today, and that they weren't really in operation after the apostles died off.

They would explain that we don't need the "sign gifts" today, as we now have the Bible- God's Word. I began to go along with that line of thinking. I even got a study bible with comments from one of those respected teachers.

This point of view, combined with the fact that I'd seen some pretty bizarre abuses of some of the gifts, and noticing that most of the false teachings t hat I'd seen in the church were brought in by Pentecostals, had me walking away from some of the most precious experiences I'd ever had with the Lord.

After a few years of "laying low' concerning spiritual gifts, I noticed that my walk with the Lord was lacking in the intensity that I'd once enjoyed. At first I thought it was because I was no longer a new believer, and that my walk with Jesus was now less emotional and more mature.

The teachers that I mentioned, although very knowledgeable and well read, were lacking something that I was desperately seeking. While I was still getting into the Word a lot, there was a distance from God that I couldn't rationalize away...

I began to wonder why God would take the wonderful moving of His Spirit in the form of gifts away from His Church. Well, why would He? Had the Church matured so much that God figured that we no longer need His Spirit moving in and through us? How ridiculous to even think such a thing! I slowly began to move away from that "God doesn't do that anymore" belief, because no matter how much I got into His Word, I found that I missed the depth of His presence which often accompanies these gifts.

Oh, abuses still exist- let's not be naive about it- but I realized that you can't "throw out the baby with the dirty bathwater", and I decided that I wanted as much of God that I could possibly have- no matter what that entailed.

Well, my passion has returned, and I'm now a believer in the moving of God and in the gifts of the Spirit TODAY. I know that God wants to move freely among His people now more than at any time in history, and I want to be involved in ALL that He has for me- Accepting His forgiveness and grace, walking passionately with Him, and being willing to be used of Him as HE chooses to use me.

How about you? Do you want God to freely move in and through your life? Are you willing to let Him use you to minister to the lost- in HIS power? Will you allow Him to use you to minister to other believers in a supernatural way, if that's how He chooses to move? He's already given us all we need.

May God richly bless you-

You thought GMO food was bad, now there is mutant food...
"The concerns, legitimate or otherwise, about genetically modified foods such as Monsanto's Round-up Ready soy-beans, may be causing unintended consequences: Monsanto's rivals such as BASF are selling 'naturally' mutated seeds where extreme exposure to ultra-violet is used to increase the rate of mutations in seeds, a process called mutagenesis. These seeds end up with many of the same properties, such as herbicide resistance, as GM seeds, but inevitably end up with other, uncontrolled, mutations too. The National Academy of Sciences warns that there's a much higher risk of unintentionally creating seeds that have active health risks through mutagenesis than by other means, including relatively controlled genetic engineering, presumably because of the blind indiscriminate nature of mutations caused by the process. But because mutagenesis is effectively an acceleration of the natural system of evolution, it's very difficult to regulate."

The assistant Pastor of Calvary Chapel, Romain, told me that this would happen way back in 1973, he said that it would be a good thing and that, as he pointed towards the sanctuary, places like this would not be able to exist anymore. "It" is about to happen, so get ready for some reality folks. This is breaking news.

This is an external way of doing things that really can't change a heart. It takes a touch of the Holy Spirit to change a heart. But they found a way to make money from wishful thinking that one can change a heart with externals of this sort.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the Irony that the Berlin wall now has a fence to protect it An inside job.

Are You Jealous of Others Blessings

Have You Been Offended By Others?

When I went through a divorce I lost everything that I had worked so hard for during the years of my youth. I was flat broke. The district attorney's office had taken my drivers license from me and my contractors license from me because i could not pay child support. The economy was bad and jobs were few.

This went on for four years. So I was not allowed to drive nor earn a living to get out of my situation. I was beat down bad. I think it was the lowest point that I had ever been in my life. I can certainly see how some of the homeless may have ended up homeless. I was not going to go there, I had determined on not giving up.

When I went into the district attorney's office, to complain about the Checkmate situation that I was in, the person who I talked with told me to, "Win the lottery or rob a bank." I was totally shocked and she could see it in my eyes so she pointed to a sign on the wall behind her that said, "No tape recorders." I was blown away by her attitude. All I was requesting was a conditional permit to drive back and forth to a job so I could survive. No way she said. She would not budge.

A coffee shop friend named Steve knew of my plight. He was a shoe salesmen at a company called Timberland. Steve had some floor models of new shoes that were my size. The styles were outdated but they were new. So Steve, a practicing buddhist, gave me an incredible deal of six new pairs of shoes for $15.00. My youngest sister gave me a new shirt and some slacks for my birthday. I was so blessed and rejoiced in my heart before the Lord!

So the point that I am going to make is how some people will become evil in their hearts when they see someone else prosper.

My two good friends at this time of my life had invited me to go with them to dinner at a local restaurant. We all rode in one of my friends car to the restaurant. The friend that owned the bmw car got jealous when he heard about the great deal I had gotten on the shoes. And he also seemed upset that I was wearing new clothes with my new shoes. It was really weird for me. He was so jealous that he would not give me a ride home he actually pulled over and kicked me out!. I had to call my sister up for a ride home.

My friend did not rejoice with me in my blessings, instead he allowed a firey dart from the enemy to take ahold of his heart.

Recently I encountered this again with another friend. What happens to people? Why do they not rejoice over others blessings in life?

There is also another scenario that can happen to people if they are not watchful over the door to their hearts.

Satan is always on the look out for ways to entrap us and render us ineffective for the Lord's usage in ministry. Anyone bound up in Jealousy or Bitterness is worthless to the Lord for ministry.

In Acts 8 we see Peter speaking to Simon about what he perceives in Simon's heart.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

At this time, even though he had been baptized, Simon appears to have not confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as usually when people believe in Christ as their Savior, they immediately receive the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13;Romans 8:9;Ephesians 1:13-14). However, "the Holy Spirit had not yet come" (Acts 8:16) into Simon by the laying of hands.
When we harbor jealousy or bitterness in our hearts we get bound up by evil, the bond of iniquity.

Hebrews 12:15looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

How do we get released from this? Scripture warns us that a root of bitterness will defile and infect others if left alone to fester.

There is a man who has ought against Calvary Chapel. He grew so bitter over the years that he started a website against Calvary Chapel specifically. Everywhere that this man appears on others blogs he spews his bitterness. Over time I watched as his faith suffered shipwreck and he began to question  everything about Christianity and became a doubter.

He is not pleasing God.

Hebrews 11:6

New International Version (NIV)
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Recently I was on the phone with someone and got 'slimed.' There was something of Satan in their heart towards me. Something about me or something I may have said trapped them in a root of bitterness. This is why I felt it pertinent to post on this topic this morning.

After I got off the phone I could feel the root of bitterness from the person towards me sliming me for hours. It wasn't until later in the evening while I listened to some worship that I got a release from the 'sliming.'

The power of the slime to oppress me certainly was not coming from the Holy Spirit. Where was the power coming from? Satan! A root from Satan was in their heart towards me.

Here is an excellent resource for understanding how Satan operates in these things and how we can escape and protect ourselves.
 Bait of Satan

Taking offence can trap you. Learn how to not be ensnared in victim mentality and walk in forgiveness. Satan is laying traps for you, and his most deceptive snare is attacks on your person. Learn how to respond to hurts and insults in a godly way.

OFFENCE (OFFENSE) 1. skandalon ^4625^ originally was "the name of the part of a trap to which the bait is attached, hence, the trap or snare itself. "In NT skandalon is always used metaphorically, and ordinarily of anything that arouses prejudice, or becomes a hindrance to others, or causes them to fall by the way. Sometimes the hindrance is in itself good, and those stumbled by it are the wicked. (from Vine's Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words)
(Copyright (C) 1985, Thomas Nelson Publishers)
The Readers Digest Universal Dictionary defines " to take offence" as a) to become angered, b) displeased, c) resentful, d) even to feel hurt. " To offend as to a) create or excite anger, b) resentment or annoyance, c) or hurt the feelings of, d) to be displeasing or disagreeable to.

Have you been trapped? This book exposes one of Satan's most deceptive snares used to pull believers out of God's will. It is the trap of offence. Jesus said, "It is impossible that offences will not come" (Luke 17:1). Nevertheless, most people who are ensnared by the bait of Satan don't even realise it. So don't be fooled! You Will encounter offence, and it's up to you how you're going to let it affect your relationship with God. Your response will determine your future. You can be delivered from the bait of Satan, stay free from offence and escape the victim mentality. Don't let another's sin or mistake affect your relationship with God!

Many who were involved with Shekinah Fellowship left because they were offended. Some were harshly treated and wrongly accused.

When offence comes upon us we must deal with it or become ensnared. If ensnared, and not properly dealt with, the offence leads to bitterness. Bitterness destroys.

Hebrews 12:15looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Ever run across people who have been offended and have not forgiven the offender? There is such bitterness towards the offender. Paul tells us that it is a 'root' of bitterness that springs up and causes trouble. The net result is that many become 'defiled' by it.

John Bevere goes into depth with this topic in his excellent book. I am not pitching his book, that is not my intention here. I do regard his book as a resource that covers the ground with grace to counter the roots of bitterness. If anyone were to look deep within their soul and honestly assess that they have not released the offender by which offence entered their life, they may, by the grace of God, realize that they have roots of bitterness choking out blessing.

John takes the reader through, in detail, how offence can occur and what to do about it from a biblical perspective.

Saturday

I recently did a Tracert on my internet connection because my response time had increased, there was a new lag on every time I sent out a requested website. After awhile it started to annoy me. I am not the only one annoyed...

"Attackers are using route injection attacks against BGP-speaking routers to insert additional hops in the traffic stream, redirecting traffic to third-party locations where it can be inspected before it's sent to its destination. Internet intelligence company Renesys has detected close to 1,500 IP address blocks that have been hijacked on more than 60 days this year, a disturbing trend that indicates attackers could finally have an increased interest in weaknesses inherent in core Internet infrastructure."

"The American intelligence service — NSA — infected more than 50,000 computer networks worldwide with malicious software designed to steal sensitive information, documents provided by former NSA-employee Edward Snowden show."

"To commemorate 50 years of the Tardis, today the BBC is airing a 75 minute special finally revealing the secrets of the Time War. What did you think of the special? And what's your fondest memory of Who? And what about that Capaldi guy?"

Tor is best known as a niche tool for hackers, whistleblowers, criminals, activists, or folks with otherwise something to hide. To your average internet user, the covert network of relays and whatchamacallits can come off as too complex and intimidating to bother with—even as people are increasingly concerned with their online privacy in light of the NSA scandal. Now you just plug it in and that is it.

Naughty Or Nice?

The other day my wife and I were watching our window to the world, our TV. There was a commercial that came on where the announcer was telling us that the "Season of Sharing" was upon us once again. It had all of the visuals that I recall seeing as a kid for Christmas oriented commercials but no mention of Christmas what so ever.

They are getting so clever at having Christmas without alluding to it.  "Happy holidays," "Merry Season Of Giving" and (fill in the blank).

Here is one fellows observations.
And here is another fellows.

I was just sent an email of the current battle lines.

I find myself going the extra mile during Christmas and using the phrase 'Merry Christmas' a lot during this upcoming time of the year. And if anyone says it to me, I look them straight in the eyes and I tell them, "Thank you for saying that to me, I receive it joyfully."

Ya, I do react to this subtle war "to get Christianity and spirituality and Judaism out of the public square."

I grew up with Christmas and I made darn sure that my son did also as do his kids. I will not be doing any business with a company that goes out of its way to eliminate Christmas if I can help it.

What do you think? How do you react to this war on Christmas?

At least one person understands
and loves America.

Ok we have not even celebrated Thanks Giving. But the retailers are already going for the "Season of giving" buck to be made.

As I sit back, having thanked Almighty God for this great country next Thursday, I will be thinking deeply upon these things once again.

Merry Christmas

Apple Love

"CNN reports that self-professed Apple fanatic Jonathan Zufi has published a book of photography profiling 500 of Apple's products through the years, because unlike other companies Apple has unapologetically focused on design says Zufi and he wants to celebrate that with his images. 'Other companies came up with the guts for a machine and then the engineers would find a way to stuff them into a box,' says Zufi. 'Steve Jobs started with the box and said, "You need to find a way to get the guts in."' It's an unlikely project for a software engineer with no formal photography training. Zufi bought new equipment and consulted with a professional as he began the project, which was four years in the making. 'I had a sudden memory of an old game I used to play in high school called Robot War,' says Zufi. 'I hopped on eBay to look for the game and an old Apple II to play it on, and that's how I ended up looking through old Apple products.' Zufi says that he approached each shot by looking for an image that would 'create that same emotional connection to that product, but maybe doesn't look like something you've seen before,' and says that his mission is to showcase the entire spectrum of products that Apple have sold to the public since 1976 – every desktop, every laptop, every notebook, monitor, iPod, iPad, iPhone, mouse, keyboard, modem, cable, port, adapter, docking station, memory expansion card — and that's just their hardware."

Good Gas Mileage?

214 miles per gallon of gas. Volkswagen has achieved  this in a new vehicle. But it does not pencil out on paper at it's $145.000 price tag. No car this small can justify the price nor will the gas savings catch up to the price. But it is interesting that they did achieve good numbers on mileage.

There was a guy in the 30's who vaporized gas before it went into the corroborator and got 200 miles per gallon on an old large Plymouth.

“Exceptional Mileage Claimed For New Carburetor”, Mass Transportation, December 1936, page 406.
This carburetor was the invention of Charles Nelson Pogue, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The Pogue carburetor system received widespread news coverage in 1935 and 1936.

“Test made with passenger automobiles indicates that cars equipped with this new carburetor will operate 200 miles per gallon. Although the exceptional mileage is of greatest importance, the new carburetor is said to have many other advantages in the way of reducing maintenance.”

In the course of our research, we have personally interviewed several older citizens (from Canada and the U.S.) who remember the Pogue test and widespread publicity…. some were eyewitnesses.
“100 Miles On One Gallon Of Gas? Chicago Members Say It’s Possible” The Machinist, October 8, 1953 page 7.

This I.A.M. Lodge 48 member-inventor says 100- 400 miles per gallon of gasoline is indeed possible.

The Ogle Carburetor

Argosy Magazine had a five-page article about Tom Ogle and the media witnessed test of the “Oglemobile”. On that test run, Tom Ogle achieved more than 100 MPG in a 4,600 pound 1970 Ford Galaxie. Tom Ogle was granted patent # 4,177,779 on Dec. 11th, 1979
