Truck Nut

Desert Solar Power Source

A panel of experts at the BBC discuss the possibility of re-purposing the Sahara Desert.

Instead of having over 9 million square kilometers of barren sand, we could start a massive project to gradually fill it with solar panels.

 The remarks are illuminating:

"The technology is good. It's matured a lot in the last few years in terms of thermal storage.

And the Sahara desert is so big that if there is cloudy weather, it's localized, and with thermal storage, it can provide absolutely reliable power."

The difficulties turn out to be mostly political:

"The biggest potential pitfall is that it's politically complicated.

You're not going to develop solar energy in the Sahara unless you have a very strong state involvement, both on the side of the consumers and the project developers."

And one of the panelists points out that Africa must have a large share of the benefits:

"Things have changed.

Africans are self-confident now, they want to participate in their development, and they want to have part of their resources, they are not just there to always give to the rest of the world and remain poor."

All of this is well and good but has anyone considered the fact of Chemtrail clouding of the skies all over the globe.

Solar panels can't work in compromised solar radiation.

The world's last operating Magnox nuclear reactor, Wylfa 1 in Anglesey, Wales was closed yesterday after providing carbon-free power for over 40 years.

Wylfa1 was originally scheduled to shut in 2012 along with the adjacent Wylfa 2 reactor but it was kept operating for another three years with the innovative use of partially-burnt fuel from Wylfa 2 and remaining stocks of fresh Magnox fuel.

The reactor will be defuelled and move into its decommissioning phase over the next year.

The Magnox design used gas-cooling and a carbon moderator with the capability to produce weapons-grade plutonium depending on how it was fuelled and operated.

Its design fed into the next-generation AGRs which provide about 6GW of Britain's electricity supply today.

George Lucas Critical Of The New Star Wars Film

While many critics have responded positively to JJ Abrams's take on Star Wars, one particular industry figure seems rather less impressed.

George Lucas has criticized the "retro" tone of The Force Awakens and lamented his own lack of involvement in it.

Speaking to television talk-show host and journalist Charlie Rose, Lucas quipped that he had sold his "kids to the white slavers that take these things".

"They wanted to do a retro movie. I don’t like that,” he said.

“They weren’t that keen to have me involved anyway, but if I get in there, I’m just going to cause trouble, because they’re not going to do what I want them to do.

And I don’t have the control to do that any more, and all I would do is muck everything up.

And so I said, ‘OK, I will go my way, and I’ll let them go their way.’”

Film-maker defends his six Star Wars movies, saying he constantly tried to innovate ‘with different planets, different spaceships.’

The film-maker, who oversaw both the groundbreaking original Star Wars trilogy, which hit cinemas between 1977 and 1983, and the much-maligned 1999-2005 prequel trilogy, confirmed that studio Disney had not wanted his involvement in the new installment.

Lucas defended his vision for the six previous Star Wars films, which he said involved constant innovation. “I worked very hard to make them completely different, with different planets, with different spaceships – you know, to make it new,” he said, pointing out the failure of a number of rival space movies that attempted to repeat the formula in the late 70s and early 80s.

“When Star Wars came out, everyone said, ‘Oh it’s just a silly movie with a bunch of space battles and stuff. It’s not real. There’s nothing behind it.’ And I said … ‘There’s more to it than that.

It’s much more complicated than that.’ But nobody would listen,” said Lucas. “So the spaceships and that part of the science fantasy, whatever, got terribly abused. And of course, everybody went out and made spaceship movies. And they were all horrible, and they all lost tons of money.”

HAARP-Generated Blockade Installed 12-30-2015

Wed Dec 30th

A blockade of high pressure is being installed once again, the timing of which is synchronized perfectly with the arrival of two large storms - one of those a hurricane force system and a Gale force system.

Santa Ana winds are forecast starting tomorrow morning in the Foothills of the Los Angeles area.

TV weather says rain may arrive by Sunday but I don't see how that will materialize at this moment with all of the strong high pressure located on the East side of the large vertical front off the West coast.

The barometric pressure has risen to 30.10" because of the high pressure being installed in preparation for the weather offshore.

RH is currently 62%; Dew Point is 27F and the temperature at 11:30 PM is 38F.

Free WiFi access all over New York

Workers in New York City have begun installing the city's first LinkNYC kiosks. The kiosks are free, public Wi-Fi access points, which are taking the spots formerly occupied by phone booths.

500 more of these hubs will be installed by mid-July, and the full network will eventually include over 7,500 of them.

"Once completed, the hubs will also include USB device charging ports, touchscreen web browsing, and two 55-inch advertising displays."

The displays are expected to bring the city $500 million in revenue over the next 12 years.

When the project was announced in 2014, officials said construction would start "next year."

 They sure cut it close...

NSA Supporters UPset When They Find That They And Their Friends Get Spied On

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that the NSA under President Obama targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his top aides for surveillance.

In the process, the agency ended up eavesdropping on "the contents of some of their private conversations with U.S. lawmakers and American-Jewish groups" about how to sabotage the Iran Deal.

All sorts of people who spent many years cheering for and defending the NSA and its programs of mass surveillance are suddenly indignant now that they know the eavesdropping included them and their American and Israeli friends rather than just ordinary people.

Pete Hoekstra last night was truly indignant to learn of this surveillance.

In January 2014, I [Greenwald] debated Rep. Hoekstra about NSA spying and he could not have been more mocking and dismissive of the privacy concerns I was invoking.
The long-time GOP chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and unyielding NSA defender

"Spying is a matter of fact," he scoffed.

As Andrew Krietz, the journalist who covered that debate, reported, Hoekstra "laughs at foreign governments who are shocked they've been spied on because they, too, gather information" — referring to anger from German and Brazilian leaders.

As TechDirt noted, "Hoekstra attacked a bill called the RESTORE Act, that would have granted a tiny bit more oversight over situations where (you guessed it) the NSA was collecting information on Americans."

But all that, of course, was before Hoekstra knew that he and his Israeli friends were swept up in the spying of which he was so fond.

From the Peanut net gallery:

"What, they thought they were special? they thought they were part of the untouchable elite?"

"Spying on active members of Congress is outside of the authority of the executive branch. Unless they had a warrant when they did this, they are doing exactly what Nixon was going to be impeached for."

"These congresscritters only have themselves to blame since they laid the very foundation for this to happen with things like the Patriot Act. I'll shed crocodile tears for the lot of them."

"Except that, technically, those congresscritters may have been violating the law themselves by engaging in direct diplomacy with foreign powers, which is a felony (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... [wikipedia.org] )."

" NSA is tasked with gathering signals intelligence from foreign sources. Communications originating and staying within the US is off limits (or used to be).

Overseas phone calls to a foreign head of state to collude on how to sabotage a significant US bill in Congress are fair game.

In fact, the FBI should be brought in to investigate those Congressional members for possible treason."

"No. According to the Supreme Court, only the President is authorized to actually negotiate with foreign leaders. The Senate may advise him and ultimately must approve any proposed treaty, but they may only negotiate it through the President."

"If the target of the surveillance is a foreign head of state (Netanyahu), it's not the NSA's fault that US legislators happened to be calling that foreign head of state to get their marching orders.

In fact, members of congress dealing directly with foreign heads of state directly violates the Logan Act, and it would absolutely be appropriate for the NSA to be looking into this. Maybe Pete Hoekstra (R-Tel Aviv) should be answering some questions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... [wikipedia.org]"

"Of course, members of both parties have violated it in the past, and it largely goes unenforced as no one has actually been prosecuted for it since 1803."

Last week, Yahoo became the latest company promising to alert users who it suspected were being targeted by state-sponsored attacks (excepting Microsoft, who made a similar announcement just today).

Twitter, Facebook and Google had previously assured their users that they would be warned of any potential government spying.

The UK, it seems, isn't happy about this.

They are pushing through a bill that will punish the leaders of any company that warns its users about British snooping with up to two years in prison.

Specifically, UK ministers want to make it a criminal offense for tech firms to warn users of requests for access to their communication data made by security organizations such as MI5, MI6 and GCHQ.

Just Because This Deal Is So Great!

Americans see current wind, weather, ocean conditions, as forecast by super computers on an interactive animated map which is updated every three hours.

 Weather Maker Patent

12-28-2015 Weather Report

11:30 PM.

Chemtrail haze was visible this morning above the clouds which were moving in to deliver rain to the Foothills of Los Angeles.

The weather outside today felt like it was going to rain and it was overcast most of the day.

It did rain for one minute today at 4:20PM and stopped.

At about 7:30 PM moderate winds began to blow in the Foothills.

A large trough of low pressure is moving through the Southern California area bringing cold temperatures (33F overnight last evening) This low pressure system is being prevented from strengthening while positioned over California - as is the case with most of the weather systems moving though this State.

We can observe a dry-air hole being blown into the core of this upper level low pressure system - this was the work of a HAARP transmitter.

Also we see an outflow ring on the IR map resulting from the instantaneous high pressure generated from the transmitter.

We will keep an eye on this latest 'dry' upper level low as it passes though California; it will likely be allowed to rebuild into a larger weather system to generate rain once it passes through the State.

Weather Report For 12-27-2015

A low pressure weather system is moving into the Northern California area with HAARP-generated high pressure positioned on top of this system to prevent further strengthening and development.

Meanwhile, the Jet Stream flow and its associated moisture field is being disrupted as it moves through the Southern California region.

CA should be getting prolonged periods of rain, but what we're seeing once again is that the Jet Stream's moisture field has been interrupted by the HAARP-generated high pressure zone which is evaporating the moisture field and cutting off the flow into California.

The incoming low pressure system is not intensifying because of the HAAP energy focused on it.

But once this system of low pressure moves though California, it will rebuild like the system now over Texas (this system was over CA just a couple of days ago).

The transmitter operators are maintaining high power over the weather systems while they move over California, but allow them to rebuild / strengthen as they move East.

Note the size of the system now moving over Texas!

(People were killed, property was destroyed!

The National Weather Service has said an EF-4 tornado, which is the second-most powerful with winds up to more than 200 mph, hit Garland. Eight people died there, 15 were injured and more than 600 structures, mostly single-family homes, were damaged.

"I've never seen anything like this, with this scale of destruction," Police Chief Mitch Bates said Monday.)

It has caused tornadoes and wild weather because it was a colder North Pacific system mixing with much warmer air from the Gulf of Mexico waters which are still warm 72-83F.

So Exactly How Big Is Your God? Can He provide?

To Whom Do We Look To For Our Provision

I Need Not For He Is My Provision. Is He Yours?

David's Art Tshirts? Not Sold On This Blog.

I drew this picture with pen and ink.

 It is my art.

I have the original along with many other drawings that I have done.

You can't buy any of my art here, in fact you can buy nothing here!

This is a non profit noncommercial hobby Web site.

Not to many websites are these days.

Seems like everyone is out to monetize in one way or another.

And just to make sure they even ask for donations along with the other ways men have come up with to tap into our wallets.

Judging by all of the people from around the world who visit this particular Shekinah Fellowship web blog each month, there must be some kind of profit to our visitors.

Which is the way it should be.

Or they would not come here or even continue to come.

I know of one wonderful Christian man who made the statement that a "Christian website should only be a Christian website."

As you can plainly see I strongly disagree with him here on that particular issue, LOL.

I personally like the mix of interesting news links along with Christian oriented postings and current conspiracy things of interest for this web blog.

And apparently others do also or they would not visit this website.

Christian elitism?

"Elitism is the belief or attitude that some individuals, who supposedly form an elite — a select group of people with, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight or those who view their own views as so; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society.

Elitism may also refer to situations in which an individual assumes special privileges and responsibilities in the hope that this arrangement will benefit humanity or themselves.

At times, elitism is closely related to social class and what sociologists call social stratification.

Members of the upper classes are sometimes known as the social elite.

The term elitism is also sometimes used to denote situations in which a group of people claiming to possess high abilities or simply an in-group or cadre grant themselves extra privileges at the expense of others.

This form of elitism may be described as discrimination as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern."

No elitism here at the Shekinah Fellowship blog, just average~Joe Christian man doing a web blog type website and having a lot of fun while doing it.

That is my pay off, my personal monetization if you will.

If you are desirous of nothing but single minded Christian stuff, there are a lot of other websites out there that will deliver as such.

To be totally honest, no one truly cares what I do here.

I have a Topic Forum that no one hardly visits anymore, considering how long it has been available.

There is reader input stuff and comment ability just under these post that no one ever uses, except for "Mel" who uses Chinese characters that English readers may not be able to read.

So it really isn't an issue when it comes to 'Christian elitism,' no one seems to mind.

But I do draw the line at monetization here.

Now that is not to say I would not one day have a web site dedicated to monetization.

But It would not be a Christian oriented web site as such, just a Christian owned web site.

I like to draw, you know, pen and ink stuff.

Lately I have noticed the trend of  plain Tshirts with art on them.

People from all walks of life are wearing them.

I even have seen a very wealthy man wearing them as his daily outfit.

Most of the art on these Tshirts is demonic in origin.

You just can tell.

The fallen angelic overtones and the wicked wings concepts shout out loudly to me of demonic influence.

My picture above is weird but it is not of demonic influence.

I like the comic book super hero stuff.

I like the odd way out outer space stuff and science fiction influences.

I am not alone.

Physics genius Michio Kaku found inspiration in the old Flash Gordon reruns every Saturday.

The great astronomer Edwin Hubble was fascinated by the works of Jules Verne.  As a result of reading Verne's works, Hubble abandoned a promising career in law, and, disobeying his father's wishes, set off on a career in science.

He eventually became the greatest astronomer of the twentieth century.

Carl Sagan, noted astronomer an best selling author, found his imagination set afire by reading Edgar Rice Burrough's John Carter of Mars novels.

Like John Carter, he dreamed of one day exploring the sands of Mars.

But I draw the line on anyone using the teaching of the Word of God to put money in their wallets other than reasonable support if they are in a ministry.

It is no wonder to me that most every single website and person who monetizes, as a goal, anything that comes from the Word of God is honestly without anointing.

 I mean that!

 They are boring!

They don't lift me into the presence of God!

I don't leave their websites with faith in my heart and hope renewed.

The websites that are just trying to cover the cost incurred of providing their materials without trying to profit beyond those cost are OK.

If your going to be a Christian Elitist the finest model I know of is the one that believes:

"The calling of God is the enabling of God."

"God Guide, God provides."

God needs our help in monetizing His ministry and calling over us?

He says, "I don't need your help in provision...

psalm 50:9-11
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

There was a great abundance of fish and loaves after Jesus provided:
Matthew 14:17

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

Jesus (Almighty God) had a need and provided for that need Himself...

Matthew 17:27
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

And Jesus can provide for us:

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Ephesians 3:20

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Now unto him that is able...

I Always Enjoy A Good Relaxing Cigar

God, Capitalism, and a Good Cigar

TIL John F. Kennedy bought 1,200 Cuban cigars the day before the US embargo against Cuba came into effect

Kennedy actually attempted to have cigars exempted from the embargo!

Richard Goodwin, a White House assistant to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, revealed in a 2000 New York Times article that in early 1962 JFK told him, “We tried to exempt cigars, but the cigar manufacturers in Tampa objected.

I guess we’re out of luck.” Indeed - as an entire generation of cigar enthusiasts eager to sample the island’s output remains out of luck today.

Proverbs 14:12

12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man...

 Up In Smoke!
A Charlotte, North Carolina man, having purchased a case of rare, very expensive cigars, insured them against ... get this ... fire.
Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of fabulous cigars, and having yet to make a single premium payment on the policy, the man filed a claim against the insurance company.

In his claim, the man stated that he had lost the cigars in "a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason that the man had consumed the cigars in a normal fashion.

The man sued... and won!

In delivering his ruling, the judge stated that since the man held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable, and also guaranteed that it would insure the cigars against fire, without defining what it considered to be "unacceptable fire," it was obligated to compensate the insured for his loss.

Rather than endure a lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the judge's ruling and paid the man $15,000 for the rare cigars he lost in "the fires."
After the man cashed his check, however, the insurance company had him arrested ... on 24 counts of arson!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used as evidence against him, the man was convicted of intentionally burning the rare cigars and sentenced to 24 consecutive one year terms!
"I've tried to verify the cigar story.

But searches of court records and newspaper files fail to turn up a single case or N.C. news article matching the incident."
Not that anyone should be surprised.

A new variant claiming the scheming cigar aficionado was himself a lawyer began circulating in mid-200.
This story is decades old and likely originated as a joke.
A 21-year-old Winston Churchill, on a quest to prove his manliness, ventured to the island of Cuba.

It was in Cuba where Churchill began his love affair with the cigar.

He described cigars as part of his “rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite; smoke cigars and drinking of alcohol before, after and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them.”

Churchill was so renowned for his cigar habit that a cigar of especially large magnitude still carries his name today: The Churchill cigar.
There was once a time when a man with a cigar in his mouth was held in high regard; a time when a young man toasted farewell to adolescence by igniting the end of a cigar that “just happened” to slip out of his father’s humidor.

A time where the arrival of a man’s progeny was celebrated with cigars in the hospital’s waiting room.
The Cuban Debate:  Are Cuban Cigars Really Better?
If you live in the U.S., don’t even bother trying to buy a Cuban cigar locally.

Because of a 1962 embargo against Cuba, Cuban cigars are not allowed in the U.S. (legally, at least).

But because Cuban cigars are so desirable, a large counterfeit industry has popped up in the United States.

If someone says they have some Cuban cigars for sale, steer clear.

It’s probably a fake and will leave your mouth tasting like charcoal when you smoke it.
You’ll also find clever Cuban immigrants rolling cigars claiming that since they themselves are Cuban, the cigars can be sold as “Cuban cigars.”

A clever scam, but a scam nonetheless.

If you really want to smoke a Cuban cigar, you’ll either have to head north to Canada or south to Mexico.

Now to answer the original question: Yes, Cuban cigars are indeed better.

Cuban cigars are highly regulated by the Cuban government and are held to a very high standard.

They’re also constructed by some of the most skilled cigar rollers in the world.

The “torcedores,” as they are referred to in Spanish, have been rolling cigars their entire lives, often learning the skill from family members who passed the knowledge on from generation to generation.

The skill these workers employ ensures a consistent fill for the cigar every time.

The flavor of a Cuban cigar tends to be extremely overpowering to someone not acquainted with

They are much more full and smoky compared to their Dominican counterparts that tend have a more peppery and spiced flavor.

It All Comes Down to Personal Preference.
. Lighting a cigar is all about savoring the flavor instead of inhaling the smoke.

Smoking a cigar is a great way to unwind or celebrate a special occasion.
 Light the cigar

Hold the flame in front of the cigar without touching it.

Then, inhale just enough so that the cigar is lit.

Make sure not to inhale the smoke.
Lightly blow on the foot of the cigar (optional).

You can do this to make sure that the light is evenly distributed.

To check if the cigar is fully lit, turn the lit end towards your mouth and gently blow on it; the lit portions will light up orange.
Smoke it.

Hold the cigar up to your mouth and draw in the smoke.

Then, hold it in your mouth for a few seconds to taste it, and then let it go.

Do not inhale the cigar smoke.\ The flavor is meant to be savored, but not inhaled.

Extinguish the cigar when you're done smoking.

Simply set it aside in the ashtray.

The cigar will extinguish itself after a minute or two without you puffing on it.
Before you set it down, gently blow through the cigar to expel any smoke that will go stale.

Relighting a cigar after this period has passed generally results in a strong, bitter taste; as a result, most aficionados prefer to throw out a smoked cigar.

Extinguishing and relighting a cigar after a varied amount of time (nicer cigars generally hold out longer) can take a toll on the flavor.

Every brand is different.

Some stay lit better than others, some have bolder flavor.
If your cigar keeps going out, it is either not a quality cigar or you are not puffing frequently enough.
Probably the highest-profile of all cigar smokers was British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

He was known for smoking eight to ten large Cuban cigars a day.

In fact, one of the largest cigar sizes was named for him.

It has been said that Churchill loved his daily intake of cigars so much that he had a special airplane oxygen mask created for him, enabling him to smoke while still wearing the mask during high-altitude flights in a non-pressured plane cabin.

Jack Nicholson sneaks smokes in the bathroom during Los Angeles Lakers half times.

The evening's speaker was Richard Hacker, author of "The Ultimate Cigar Book."

He dubbed the event, which he said was the first-ever women's smoker, "historic in the annals of cigar smoking."

Cigars, once a bastion of male bonding, no longer are the exclusive property of men, he said.

"You can't put a sexist shackle on the pleasures of cigar smoking.

It is a symbol of freedom--especially because it's so politically incorrect, but also because it's so enjoyable," he said.

Delayed Gratification
Former President Grant is invited to speak at a graduation ceremony and, per tradition, he is given an honorary degree.

He gives the Dean, an old war buddy, a cigar in return as a token of his appreciation.

A few weeks later Grant wires, asks him how he liked the cigar - and the Dean replies that he will keep it and treasure it, unsmoked.

The cigar is passed down from the Dean to his progeny.

Many, many decades later, (maybe 1980-something) a houseguest of a distant descendant of the Dean sees the cigar and, unfamiliar with its significance, lights up.

It performs normally for a moment, and then explodes.

Grant's practical joke finally gets played out, after something like 100 years.

Cigar Urban Legends, though few and far between, provide people with a sense of tradition: they
perpetuate the knowledge that cigars are always leaving their mark on us, forever burning their reputation into our culture.

Women do enjoy a good cigar!
