Not A Scam But A White Collar Legalized Crime Just The Same

Make $377,000 trading Apple in one day

It can be done.

Most people don't know that there are some people who take no risk what so ever in stock trading. None! Zip! What they are doing is called "high frequency trading."

And it is robbing others with no repercussions.

This is a good read that will exercise your grey matter well.

Here It Is

The Next Big Thing Is On The Horizon. This is hugh!

The Powerful Manifested Presence Of The Holy Spirit

Brant Baker And Calvary Chapel Of Costa Mesa

"I remember walking into that little church, of course that was before it grew. They didn't have that patio there. They just had a little side walk and it was dirty and they had old carpets out on the dirt lot.

They had not yet expanded, it was a small chapel, and it wasn't filled. But there was something that was filling it. Some one was filling it...I walked into that little church and I begin to feel this funny feeling. It was like molasses going through the air...I saw, I touched, and I realized the reality of Almighty God."
Brant Baker speaking at a service held at the Arlington Foursquare Church, 2085 California Ave, Riverside, California.

Brant Baker first encountered the fullness of the person called the Holy Spirit at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa CA. He desired that every single service at Shekinah Fellowship be like what he had experienced at Calvary Chapel. Filled with a person, the person of the Holy Spirit. Many a person gives testimony that they encountered the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit at a Shekinah Fellowship service.

Brant refused to walk out on the platform until he was certain that the Holy Spirit's presence had manifested in the service. The worship would continue as Brant spoke out through his microphone saying, "Worship Him, Adore Him, O how we love Him. We give you praise dear Jesus, we give You praise! Worship Him."

Brant said, "It's only to know, to yield, and to be yielded to the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. He is the only One that can testify of Jesus. Did you know that? I can tell you about a person, but I can't preach Christ, preach Jesus, without yielding to the Holy Spirit, that He would make Him become alive. His life touches and penetrates our lives.

I want with everything that is within me to be able to love Him with everything that is within this being...to love Him with all our heart. To love one another. Let's get back to the basics of what the Bible is talking about.

'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son' And Jesus said, 'As the Father has sent me, so I send you.' The same way, identical, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Foursquare, everybody! Miracles happen because of the Love of God. Salvation happens because of the Love of God, it's the greatest miracle."

To see a visual effect of the Holy Spirit you can view this video of the German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, whom I consider to be one of the world's greatest evangelist. You can see the Holy Spirit sweeping over the people in powerful waves as he shouts "Hallelujah!".

These are not rehearsed actions, these are spontaneous waves of the Holy Spirit flowing and manifesting on people. Brant Baker encountered much the same as he entered that little Calvary Chapel. That is why he decided to call his fellowship "Shekinah" which is the manifested presence of the Holy Spirit. Many a person experienced the Holy Spirit during those awesome meetings at Shekinah Fellowship.

Currently in the news...

"The Jurist reports: 'A judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon ruled Wednesday (PDF) that those placed on the U.S. government's no-fly list have 'a constitutionally-protected liberty interest in traveling internationally by air, which is affected by being placed on the No Fly List.' The plaintiffs in the case are 13 U.S. citizens who were denied boarding on flights over U.S. airspace after January 2009.' Judge Anna Brown hasn't ruled on the constitutionality of the No Fly List yet, and has instructed the attorneys involved to present a roadmap for deciding the remaining issues. However, she has acknowledged that the No Fly List is a major burden to those on the list and they have the right to get that status reviewed."

Iceberg tips and such or Living room perspectives from an easy chair

You read stuff on the net. One of the things I have come across was something about there being a forced back door in operating systems and motherboards by the NSA. Of course we can't believe everything we read on the net.

Another thing I saw was something about browsers and antivirus programs that can block access to whatever the powers that be desire and the antivirus can be caused to not detect whatever the powers that be don't want to be detected.

We have no way of knowing if any of this is true. But we can often see the tip of the iceberg in small ways...

"Microsoft says it plans to move ahead with a lawsuit filed against the U.S. government in June to affirm the right of businesses to disclose limited information about government demands for data made under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). In separate legal filings, Microsoft and Google challenged the gag order that typically accompanies FISA demands for customer data. The two companies asserted that they have a First Amendment right to publish the total number of FISA requests received and the total number of user accounts covered by such requests."

Gee, thanx Microsoft and Google, for doing something..
Where were the Champions of Justice when these requests first started coming to you?
I see. It's different now that you've been exposed to the public as cooperating in all this.
There is no doubt they are seeing this as harmful to their business, because users feel betrayed.

My fear is that they will allow themselves to be bought off through some sort of government contract or protectionism.
However, both companies are global players and have seen push-back from foreign governments, so any sort of payoff would have to outweigh that.
This is a great development. Let's hope it reigns in some of this nonsense.
They need to push for revealing MORE information. For instance, EVERY USER, who's account was
subject to such an order should be notified (after a suitable passage of time, 6 months seems right for most cases).

The government would have to offer up this fact in Discovery if someone was subsequently charged, why should an innocent person deserve less?

You read stuff on the net...the curtain gets pulled back by a Toto now and then...

Short summary: The NSA gives DEA agents "anonymous tips" on which vehicles to "randomly" stop. This is never mentioned in court.
Here's another one.
This time it's the courts saying that they don't have to show the evidence to the defendant or his lawyers. Not exactly the justice they taught in high school civics.
The solution, as always, is knowledge. Know who to support. Know who to vote for. Know what to write your congressman. Learn, and always assume that there is something you don't know so you have to learn more, and look behind the curtains.
"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

Apple remains strong and is determined to win the operating system race

While Microsoft languishes with their largely unaccepted Windows 8 operating system, Apple moves forward in supremacy. Don't get me wrong, Microsoft still has a great operating system in Windows 7 which I am using most of the time.

I have been on board with Windows since the Dos 3.0 days and have moved forward with them ever since. Windows 7 is the most stable operating system that I have used from them. There have not been any blue screens since I adopted Windows 7.  I am not inclined to go on to the AOL 1996 style Windows 8 though.

Here is why Apple is dominating these days...

"Apple's era of naming OSs after big cats is over.

Turns out, the catchy OS names are chosen with consumers in mind. It's less confusing to remember a name like Lion instead of a number like 10.7. Lengthy combinations of letters and numbers seem to be particularly difficult to remember. Quick, what printer model do you own?

Cheetah, puma, jaguar, panther, tiger, leopard, snow leopard and lion. Zoo exhibit?

Still, Apple's never revealed the impetus behind its naming strategies. It hasn't escaped the attention of Mac followers that some of the operating system names correspond with World War II German armored vehicles, such as the Panther and Tiger [source: Tank Museum]. Some critics believe Apples OS names were inspired by British Mac-clone-maker Shaye, a competitor that gave Apple a brief but powerful run for its money during the mid-1990s. Shaye's computers were named for lions, panthers, tigers, leopards, jaguars, pumas and cheetahs, among others -- similar to the titles that Apple has used for its operating systems since 2001.

Microsoft -- one of Apple's chief rivals -- has oscillated between naming its operating systems with numbers and names. For example, it released Windows 1.0 in 1985, Windows 95 (version number 4.0) in 1995, Windows Vista (version number 6.0) in 2006 and Windows 7 (version number 6.1) in 2009 [source: Microsoft].

The Mavericks wave is rolling in, and the first four developer previews have given an inside look at the cutting-edge OS. Users and developers have almost entirely positive things to say about Mavericks, from faster speed and improved stability to new features like iBooks and iCloud keychains. While some installation concerns and errors have arisen, developer preview have improved version by version, and Mavericks is looking good."

60.1% of my visitors here are using Windows 7 operating systems and  only 7.3%  of my visitors are using Mac OSX, 4.1% are showing up on ipads. Only one person is showing up with windows 98, and 11 people are showing up with Windows 2000, along with 10 others who are using Windows 2003.

That may change if Apple continues to bring it on...with Mavericks big waves.

Time will tell...

O...I forgot to mention that only 0.9% come here on a windows 8 operating system.

Microsoft are you listening? People don't like where you have gone.  Figure out what it is that "we" want and not what it is that you want to sell us. Simple enough, right? Apps are for mobile not for home computers. We actually like programs and we like installing them and we like owning them. Who told you otherwise?

You can continue to throw money at propaganda to get us to accept your will and you can continue to throw money at computer manufacturers to get them to recommend windows 8 if you want. The reality is we don't want windows 8. You are not listening to us who are your loyal customers.

Apple is starting to look real good to us.

No Vaccination Repercussion @ Church?

"An outbreak of measles tied to a Texas megachurch where ministers have questioned vaccination has sickened at least 21 people, including a 4-month-old infant — and it's expected to spread further, state and federal health officials said. 'There's likely a lot more susceptible people,' said Dr. Jane Seward, the deputy director for the viral diseases division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. ...

All of the cases are linked to the Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Texas, where a visitor who'd traveled to Indonesia became infected with measles – and then returned to the U.S., spreading it to the largely unvaccinated church community, said Russell Jones, the Texas state epidemiologist. ...

Terri Pearsons, a senior pastor of Eagle Mountain International said she has had concerns about possible ties between early childhood vaccines and autism. In the wake of the measles outbreak, however, Pearsons has urged followers to get vaccinated and the church has held several vaccination clinics. ...

'In this community, these cases so far are all in people who refused vaccination for themselves and their children,' [Steward] added. The disease that once killed 500 people a year in the U.S. and hospitalized 48,000 had been considered virtually eradicated after a vaccine introduced in 1963.

Cases now show up typically when an unvaccinated person contracts the disease abroad and spreads it upon return to the U.S."

Repercussion?

Quench Not The Holy Spirit

Quench not-the Spirit being a holy fire: "where the Spirit is, He burns" [Bengel]

To quench is to extinguish or put out a fire. God implies the holy spirit in us is as a fire and should not be dampened.
Matthew 3:11:I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Hebrews 12:29:
For our God is a consuming fire.

It is interesting to note that on the day of Pentecost the apostles saw a vision of "tongues as of fire." They then manifested forth the new spirit within by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

We have been given so much ability to exercise the power of God. Our freedom of will determines how much of that power we will bring forth.

We have the powerful Word of God at our disposal as well as the spirit of God within us. People hear a lot of words spoken but rarely do they see the genuine power of God unless a believer is manifesting it. God wants us to use it not quench it.

I Corinthians 2:4 and 5:
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The connection in which the exhortation, "Quench not the Spirit" occurs, shows to what it refers. The next sentence is, "Despise not prophesyings." It has to do with the gifts of the Spirit and their exercise in the holy liberty and power of the Spirit.

"Quench not the Spirit" would go further, and warns us against any attempt to shut out, or impose limits on the free action of the Holy Spirit in the gifts He has entrusted to the saints. The word quench means to suppress or stifle. "Quench not"--as if it were a candle flame,--a fire, which might be extinguished.
.
Don’t throw cold water on someone else who is operating under the power and fire of God!
Do not throw water on yourself from doing the same thing by resisting the move of the Spirit and smothering it out.
.
The Pharisees restrict the flow of spiritual experiences until religion becomes a purely intellectual and theological exercise, and the Spirit is quenched.

Pharisaism was heretical in spite of its theological correctness. The Pharisee's real problem was that they drastically overvalued the role of theology in spiritual life and made theological correctness the chief religious virtue. They had a man~given confidence in their theology. Their faith became intellectualized. Their center of faith moved from the heart to the head. A sign of this was the way that they bombarded Jesus with theological questions.
.
The Pharisee's self~evaluation was that they were on the forefront of what God was doing for Israel. Jesus judgement of them was different:

Matthew 23:29-33 (King James Version)
29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

.
Although they believed themselves to be the protectors of orthodoxy, the Pharisees were really the opponents of the Holy Spirit. All Pharisaism contains tragic elements of missed opportunities. They stood in the way of the person of the Holy Spirit at work.
They are "witch hunters" who like to point out errors and win their case.
.
On the other hand, well meaning workers in ministry want to help individuals from being presumptuous. When Christians begin to appropriate specific promises in Scripture as being applicable to themselves and nothing happens they can become very confused and disillusioned. Yes the Holy Spirit can and does speak to individuals, and it is often through Scripture. But one must use discernment, is it really the voice of God or is it presumption?
.
We want to encourage and to inspire others to move out in the power of the Holy Spirit while helping them to avoid presumption. A very fine line, if we are not careful we could 'throw the baby out with the bath water.'
.
Many people were upset with Jesus because He claimed to know the mind and heart of God, to speak directly for God, to reveal God's mind and heart towards an individual or group of individuals. Therefore they threw Him out with the bathwater! They missed Jesus Christ, Almighty God the Master Creator because of their resistance to what He was and what He was saying. They clung tightly to their orthodoxy and their drastically overvalued theology and therefore they missed Jesus for who He truly is.
.
Are we upset at those who attempt to have an active faith idealism?
.
Ephesians 3:20 (New King James Version)
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
.
I like that, "ask or think." What are the implications of this scripture? Can we have faith with a vision? Can we think while using our minds eye to see our thoughts realized. Can we see ourselves ministering to others before it happens? Lonnie Frisbee did and look what he accomplished in his short life time.
http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=668a381a25f0c5744f51
.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
.
God does call us to serve Him. He does give us a hope for a future. If you know that you know, that He has called you to a task. And you hold that vision dear, what will be the result?
There will be opposition from those who hold to rigid legalistic rules with tight boundaries. "You can't do that! Your a dreamer!"
.
Genesis 37:5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
.

And yet Joseph was the deliverance for all of his brothers and their kin.
Do you have a vision a dream? Are you willing to suffer the contempt of others as you pursue your dream, your vision? Will you hold true to your vision and your dream through the years knowing that our God cannot lie?
.
Titus 1:2In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
.
You know that you know, that God has planted a vision and a dream within you. A passion! Circumstances matter nothing whatsoever in the light of what God has placed within you. You know your God. You know what He has done and what He is capable of doing.
.
Sight is a function of the eyes; vision is a function of the heart. You don't see anything happening at all and yet you know that you know that God will perform that which He has promised. You see what will be.
.
You know what will be!
.
"Where there is no vision, the people perish."
King Solomon Proverbs 29:18
.
Do you have a vision? Jesus had a vision and He knew it.
"For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth."
John 18:37
.
It is important for you to know your vision. To know what you are meant to do. What has God prepared you for?
Don't bury your dreams. Don't give up on your God given vision. You have a reason and a purpose for your life and you know it.
.
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."

Ecclesiastes 9:10
.
Your purpose is your passion. It gives you hope and keeps you going because you know that what God has given to you to accomplish cannot be stopped by anyone! You are immortal here on earth until God's will in your life has been accomplished.
.
But you have to fight for it, you have to believe in it, you have to put your whole might behind it. You have to stay in the race and see it to completion.
You have to believe in the gift or gifts that God has placed within you. "A man's gift...brings him before great men." Proverbs 18:16.
.
"For this reason I remind you to fan to a flame the gift of God, which is in you." 2 Timothy 1:6
You have a human responsibility to fan to a flame your gift. Stir up the gift of God. No one can activate your gift but you. You have to do it yourself.
.
You do this by reason of usage, just as a bodybuilder does with weight resistance to accomplish growth. Stir up your own gift and don't seek other people's gifting. You are created uniquely to be what you are to better to do God's will. You are an original, not an imitator.
Be who you are and God's.
.
i believe that the Lord would say to you:
"Today there are few, among the millions our Father has sent to the earth~world, who give themselves and their lives with total dedication to Me. There are many dedicated ones who say, "Take my whole life", and then proceed to live it according to their own idea of My will. Thank you, My workers, for wanting above all other things to work with Me for My will.
.
Do nothing that is not My will. This is the secret of not hurrying. Do what is My will in My time, leaving the weight of responsibility to be carried by Me."
.

A Religious Spirit

This spirit operates out of old religious structures and attempts to maintain the status quo, favoring tradition over a genuine, intimate relationship with God. It influences believers to live the Christian life based on works instead of grace. Similar to the Greek way of thinking, the religious spirit depends on human effort to acquire spiritual knowledge and favor from God.
God save us!

Religious Spirit Self-Assessment

o You believe your faith life should remain separate from your work life.

o You’re motivated to share Christ out of duty.

o You can’t relate to non-believers because you’re afraid of rejection.

o You display a “better than they are” attitude toward nonbelievers.

o You are viewed by others as dogmatic and rigid (not simply a person of conviction).

o You feel compelled to be involved in religious activity and you can’t relax in your faith.

o You often feel guilty (not the same as the conviction of the Holy Spirit) for not sharing Christ with others.

o You often engage in religious debate.

o You need a packaged presentation in order to share the gospel.

o When talking about spiritual matters to strangers, you tend to talk about your church or ask about their church involvement versus talking about Jesus and their personal relationship with God.

o You have a difficult time socializing, loving or accepting those who do not believe the way you do.

o You are motivated by your church leadership out of guilt and Christian duty instead of loving devotion to Christ.

o You discourage change, preferring religious tradition.

o You believe that the ministry gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 and Ephesians 4:11 are no longer applicable today; or, if you believe they are valid, you think that they are for religious professionals, not for you.

o You form relationships for the purpose of achieving a religious activity rather than developing community from which Christ-like ministry flows naturally.

o Your loyalty to denominational structures is greater than your commitment to the kingdom of God and the entire Body of Christ.

o You view government as an “evil empire” from which we must separate instead of influence for good.

o You don’t see the need to work with other Christian ministry groups in a common effort; you usually feel that your way is the primary way and everyone should join your endeavor so as to not compromise your belief or doctrine.

In the New Testament, the Galatians started their Christian life simply by believing and having faith in God. However, somewhere along the road, they were influenced to live their lives by focusing on rules and regulations and to live according to their own human effort. Read the apostle Paul’s words as he confronted the believers in Galatia about the effect of the religious spirit on their lives:
You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing? Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?

Gal. 3:1-5
Living according to rules and regulations and by our own human efforts is a trap set by the religious spirit that we can all fall into. However, it is not the abundant life that Jesus promised (see John 10:10). In Galatians 2:20-21, Paul describes how we should live our lives: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
In the Gospel of Matthew, we also read about a rich young ruler who was prevented from making a commitment to the one true God because of the religious spirit. Although he considered himself religious because he followed the laws, he had an idol in his life that prevented him from making a total or "sold-out" commitment to Jesus.
Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments." "Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, "‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’""All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth

Matt. 19:16-22.
The rich young ruler wanted to gain God’s approval on his own terms by fulfilling the law. However, Jesus cut through the religious spirit by speaking to the heart of his issue. When the Early Church expanded its leadership, it commissioned Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, to active ministry.
"The word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith. Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people" (Acts 6:7-8). Notice how Stephen began to make an impact on his city—by performing signs and wonders.
However, his work also stirred up the religious spirit, and Stephen became the first person martyred for his faith.God save us from our religious spirit!

God Speaks Life

"The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said, 'Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any of you brings an offering to the Lord...he is to offer a male without defect...he is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. He is to slaughter the young bull before the Lord, and then Aaron's sons the priests shall bring the blood and sprinkle it against the altar on all sides at the entrance to the tent of meeting....'

" Hebrews 8:6 "But now hath He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" ....

Due to time and space constraints, I did not fully type out all of the scripture excerpts from the texts, so I encourage you to go over them more fully afterwards...

I believe there is som e confusion among today's believers concerning the new covenant, as opposed to the old. Many believe that the new covenant is simply a continuation of the old covenant, with the exception that it is the Sacrifice of Christ that now covers our sins, but there is in fact a monumental difference and a completeness of sacrifice that I wish to deal with here. Under the old covenant, God decreed that the blood of bulls and goats would cover Israel's sins up to the point of the sacrifice, and ONLY up to that point. Then their sins (and the need for additional forgiveness) would again accumulate, and the process would continue, over and over again, year after year after year.

They had to continually offer the sacrifices for whatever sins they would knowingly commit, as well as those sins that they had unknowingly committed. God was pointing them, throughout this process, to the Cross. They had to see the immenseness and the seriousness of their sins, and p unishment for disobedience was swift and severe. The important thing to remember is that it was the CROSS OF CHRIST that the Father was always leading them to...

When Messiah came to His earth, lives a sinless, perfect life, died, and then rose from the dead, the wonderful redemption that He purchased for Israel, AS WELL AS FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD was absolutely complete.

Whereas the blood of bulls and goats merely 'covered' sins, Christ's Precious Blood TAKES AWAY our sin- as the hymn declares, 'My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more'. That alone is glorious beyond words, but God desn't stop there! Our Savior's RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD is the very guarantee that WE will also rise from the dead unto eternal life!- Let's go way back to the garden of Eden... what did man lose on that very day of his first sin? He lost his very life! Remember, God had told Adam and Eve, 'In the day that you eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt surely DIE', and the moment they ate, they surely did. Christ's death on the cross gave us God's forgiveness of our sins once and for all, but without His resurrection, we'd be a bunch of forgiven corpses!

His resurrection from the dead is what gives us life- the life that the first man and woman lost way back in the garden. I'll repeat what I said in a previous message- God never goes only part-way with us! His Love is complete, our redemption is certain, and will be made complete the moment our bodies put on 'incorruption'. 1 Corinthians 15:53 says, "for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality". Praise God, the new covenant is superior to the old, just as the latter rain is greater than the former rain. We are certainly living in the days of the latter rain. Child of God, look up now, as God is a bout to pour His Spirit out like never before!

How To Know God

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds?

Become a better person so that God will accept you?

You may be surprised that none of those things will work. But God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him.

The following principles will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now, through Jesus Christ...

Obedience

Obedience, above Sacrifice

I feel compelled to begin a study on obedience in what the Lord calls us to do. Also with a special emphasis on being holy and pure, as He is Holy. Let’s start with scripture. (Always a good place to begin) I Samuel 15 Verse 1 :

" Samuel said to Saul. ‘I am the one the Lord sent to annoint you king over His people Israel: so listen now to the message from the LORD’.

Samuel tells Saul, that he better listen up, because the Lord has an important message and instructions for him. Now if an undisputed prophet from the Lord came to you and told you that he had a message from the Almighty God specifically for you, you would be jotting down notes and breaking out the tape recorder!

 Verse 2:
"This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3) Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them, put to death men, and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’

Let’s take a look at what the Amalekites did to tick the Lord off.
Exodus 17: 8-14 While the Israelites had just escaped Egypt, the Amalekites sent an army of men to attack the Israelites. Joshua chose some men and went out to fight them. As long as Moses held up his arms, the Israelites were winning, but if he lowered his arms, the Amalekites were winning.

You remember the story, he had Aaron and Hur stand beside him, holding up his arms, and Israel was victorious.

 Verse 14:
"Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under the heaven’.

 Verse 15:
Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is My Banner. He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the Lord, The Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation. Also in Deuteronomy 25: 17-18 we get a clearer picture of what the Lord promised to Moses, and what he intended to do about it.

"Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind; They had no fear of GOD."

And here is the prophesy that is to be fulfilled in Samuel 15…verse 19:

"When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to posses as an inheritance, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the heaven. Do not forget!"

 Okay, back to Samuel 15. Verses 4 – 9…
Saul gathers up an army of men and goes to attack the Amalekites. But he did not follow the Lords instructions to a tee. He took the King of the Amalekites , Agag, alive. He killed everyone else, but spared the best of the sheep and cattle and lambs, everything that was good, he kept. God told him to destroy everything!

He specifically told him to kill all the cattle etc. But I’m sure Saul, when he saw all those beefy looking animals, was thinking what a waste it would be to destroy perfectly good sheep and cattle. How many times do we reason our way out of obedience? We can use logic to talk our way into just being half obedient.

 To be continued….

Obedience continued...

Obedience, above Sacrifice, cont.

 I Samuel 15
So Saul has victory over the Amalekites, because the Lord was with him, and had made a promise to Moses hundreds of years earlier that the Amalekites would be wiped off the face of the earth.

He keeps the best of the cattle and the king of the Amalekites alive, not following through with what the Lord instructed him to do. The Lord told Samuel that He was grieved that he made Saul King, not only because he did not carry out His instructions, but because Saul turned away from the Lord.

In verse 12, Samuel goes out to meet Saul, but was told that Saul had gone to Carmel, to set up a monument to honor his self!

Sounds like Saul was taking credit for the victory. So Samuel goes up to Carmel to meet Saul, and when Saul sees him, he greets him with "The Lord bless you. I have carried out the Lord’s instructions."

Samuel hears the sheep and the cattle making their animal noises, and says, "what do I hear, if you have carried out the Lord’s instructions?" So Saul starts with the first excuse. "The soldiers brought them."

Then he says…yeah that’s it, the soldiers spared those sheep and cattle so we can give them up as a sacrifice to the Lord…yeah, that’s the ticket.

At this point Samuel stopped him.

 Verse 17:
Samuel said, "Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel."

When did Saul become so exalted in his own eyes?

Sometimes we can totally mess up our anointing when pride slips in. Lord keep us humble! Saul sticks to his story that he took the best cattle to sacrifice them to the Lord.

But then Samuel says:
 Verse 22:
Does the Lord delight in burnt sacrifices as much as obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. (Whoa heavy huh?) Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has rejected you as king.

The lesson for those of us who are on this side of the above event?

Brothers, and sisters, we do not want to be like Saul and lose our anointing. We have to fully rely on the Lord for all that we do. We have to follow what it is that God has instructed us to do and we have to remember to not become arrogant about any blessings, gifts, or anointing He has bestowed on us.

Some Are Satan's Ministers?

Satan's Ministers...(Ministries?)

The apostle Paul had no easy task. Satan opposed him at every turn. After Paul had come to a community, faithfully preached the Gospel, and there established a church, his footsteps were dogged by false teachers who sought to destroy the work God had established through him. Under the inspiration of the Spirit, Paul revealed the true character of those false teachers:

"For such are false [scammers] apostles, deceitful [dishonest] workers, transforming themselves [masquerading posers] into the apostles of Christ. "And no marvel; For Satan himself is transformed [masquerades] into an angel of light. "Therefore it is no great thing [suprise] if his ministers also be transformed [masquerade] as the ministers of righteousness; [Hebraic restoration, remnant restoration,etc...] whose end [doom] shall be according to their work" (II Cor. 11:13-15).

The false teachers of whom the Apostle spoke here were mainly Judaizing teachers. Their teaching was that Christ was not sufficient; that God's revelation to the jews was still in force; that it was necessary for new Christians to be circumcised, to observe the Sabbath, to keep the Law of Moses.

Obviously, Satan has no aversion to religion as such. So much of it is not hostile to him and does his kingdom no harm. Rather, this seems to be one of his most useful media. Whereas, Judaism originally had been a revelation from God, until Christ fulfilled it every jot and tittle, in Paul's day it had become false teaching, denying that Christ had come. Those who continued to teach it were under the control of Satan, said the Apostle.

Later there were to arise many heresies, stressing one particular teaching to the disparagement of others. These, too, came under the category of Satanic teaching. The norm or standard for the recognition of the true and the false was given clearly by the Apostle John:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit [do not believe every so~called spiritual utterance], but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone into the world. "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God [in this way you can recognize the Spirit of God]: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh [in human form] is of God:"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist [this is the utterance of Antichrist], whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world" (I John 4:1-3, KJV and The Amplified Bible)

Note the wide latitude with which Satan operates. First he hides his diabolical nature and masquerades as a minister of light. This is in accord with his true character as a deceitful counterfeit, who stoops to anything to bring about the accomplishment of his will. This includes the complete damnation of human souls for whom the fiend cares nothing. He only wants them to share his final doom.

Satan distorts the doctrines of God. These teachings are the things of God and properly belong in the category of those who love God and his Son. But Satan wrests them from their rightful context and for purposes of deception uses them to mislead and delude.

The same treachery is found in Satan's ministers. They, too, masquerade as exponents of righteousness. They clothe themselves in a cloak of duplicity and misrepresentation. All of this is done knowingly. Deep in the heart of the Satanic minister is the knowledge that all of this is false, double-dealing, sinful. But the conscience of this faithless minister does not operate. He does not alter his life, but continues to be a fraud, a phony.

Much of what the world acknowledges as Christianity is both admitted by and promulgated by the devil in his system. The lifeless, ritualistic forms with their various manifestations are not in any way offensive to the Satanic program. These are the "saying" of prayers, counting beads, burning candels, various orders of meaningless service. In fact, anything religious which seems to soothe the soul without the necessity of accepting the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is permissible.

Great unspiritual church organizations lend themselves to Satanic cooperation, especially when they devote themselves to world movements for peace, social betterment, and the alleviation of disease and poverty, without the Gospel message of the Saviour from sin.

Particularly does Satan work in the field of the aesthetic. He would be enthusiastic about hugh church buildings, massive pipe organs, richly clad clergy. All of these outward trappings tend to take the mind and heart of the seeker after God from that which is vitally important to that which is only counterfeit.

The way to determine whether a religion is true or false is to consider the place given Christ in its teaching. Is He the center? Is the emphasis on His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death, His physical resurrection, His eternal deity?
