Pastors Thought For Today

PROPHETS AND

THE GIFT OF PROPHECY

John was the last of the Old Testament prophets but who will be the last of the New Testament prophets?

According to Luke 1:70 prophets have been since the world began.

"As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began."

Just when you think God is doing nothing, He reveals something.

Amos 3:7
"Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

God always has had and always will have prophets and prophetic ministries.

As the scripture says, they have been since the world began.

Even though there are real true prophets today, a person does not need to be a prophet to give a simple word of prophecy.

The apostle Paul taught that all may prophecy, 1 Corinthians 14:31
"For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted."

A modern day Bible teacher that teaches ‘there is no prophetic utterance or prophets for today’ is he not himself a false prophet; he is just another someone who has not yet experienced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

They talk a good talk but have no power.

A manifestation ministry is received by faith so it is not possible for them to partaker of it.

They will most often reject any miraculous move of the Spirit because intellectually they cannot understand it.

The natural mind is actually an enemy of God and (without divine intervention) will always resist the work of his Holy Spirit.

 Romans 8:7
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."

1 Corinthians 2:14
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
