Machine Gun and the Iraq War. Night Vision Shots. Psychedelic mayhem. This goes out to all of the soldiers who were fighting in Iraq. And those fighting wars within themselves.

I was there (Newport Pop Festival)... I remember it was so hot and sunny back then...not possible to get that hot today with the geoengineering going on over us...people had glass 5 gallon jugs of sparkletts water all over the place that was being given out...the parking lot was all dirt, it had not been paved yet. So there was a lot of mud and dry dust all over the place. There were several stages set up and bands were playing simultaneously. There were so many people. Sonny and Cher were residents of Costa Mesa; Cher's mother worked in a local hair salon. The musical line-up was an impressive one. Besides those already mentioned, bands appearing were Alice Cooper, Steppenwolf, Canned Heat, Electric Flag, Butterfield Blues Band, Eric Burdon and the Animals, Blue Cheer, Iron Butterfly, Illinois Speed Press, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Quick Silver Messenger Service, Country Joe and the Fish, Crosby Stills And Nash, Chambers Brothers, Greatful Dead, James Cotton Blues Band, Butterfield Blues Band, Electric Flag, Alice Cooper, Lee Michaels with Frosty, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Lovin Spoonful, Sky Pilot, The Turtles, Tiny Tim  and Things To Come. All for $4.00. Orange County's version of Woodstock really did happen.
