At the most recent Isaac Asimov Memorial Debate, [scientists gathered to address the question for the year: Is the universe a computer simulation?
At the debate, host and celebrity astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson argued that the probability is that we live in a computer simulation.]
This is the crux of Tyson's point:
if we take it that it is, in principle, possible to simulate a universe in some way, at some point in the future, then we have to assume that on an infinite timeline some species, somewhere, will simulate the universe.
And if the universe will be perfectly, or near-perfectly, simulated at some point, then we have to examine the possibility that we live inside such a universe.
And, on a truly infinite timeline, we might expect an almost infinite number of simulations to arise from an almost infinite number or civilizations -- and indeed, a sophisticated-enough simulation might be able to let its simulated denizens themselves run universal simulations, and at that point all bets are officially off."
For in him we live and move and have our being.
Acts 17:28
The Jewish King David was aware of a specific divine message broadcast to all mankind from the heavens: The Mysterious Mazzaroth (the Hebrew word for the constellations of the zodiac) .
Psalm 19:
1The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
3There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
4Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
6Its rising is from one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
David described the magnificence of the heavens that he observed in the sky.
The "Heavens" and the "firmament" are the fixed canvas on which the Master Creator, All Mighty God, painted His masterpiece for all humans to observe throughout time.
God has actively made Himself known in the skies above.
The Ecliptic, the twelve constellations of the Zodiac, are the dwelling places that the sun passes through in it's yearly "circuit" through the heavens.
The sun moves from one house to the next of the night sky in the heavens.
Spending one month in each house that tells a story that the Almighty is telling.
King David said that a message was proclaimed by the sun's path through the constellations.
Paul the Apostle quoted King David's psalm as proof the the ancient nations had already heard the Gospel message.
Therefore the content of the message described by David included the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
16However, they have not obeyed the Gospel; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”
17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
18But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have;
“THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH,
AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD.”
Romans 10:16-18
God has actively made Himself known to mankind in the heavens above.
The revelation of God was seen "since the creation of the world."
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is written in the language of the stars above!
The constellations of the ancient Zodiac actually tell the Gospel message.

A great place to start in understanding all of this is here.
It takes light 100,000 years to travel from one end of the Milky Way galaxy to the other end. And our solar system is within it. The Milky Way is only one part of the Local Group of galaxies, which forms a subcomponent of the Virgo Supercluster. The Milky Way when it is seen stretches across our night sky.
God measures the heavens in the span of his hand.
How big is our God?
Isaiah 40:12
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
Psalm 95:7
For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the
earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills
in a balance?
And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he
doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
Become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a
crooked and depraved generation, in which you
shine like stars in the universe.” - Philippians 2:14
