Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

This church wants to burn the Koran and already  they are getting the common sense backlash from sane voices.
But Terry Jones, pastor of the 50-member Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., says not even protests and death threats will deter him. He told MyFoxOrlando.com that he and the church's members feel strongly about their decision to hold the book burning despite being denied a permit from the fire department.

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Not book burnings or culture imitations.

Romans 15:29

And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

What gets a hold of a person that causes them to come to Christ? The conviction of the Holy Spirit. One touch of the Holy Spirit will do more to change a life in seconds then years of seminary can do. The preaching of the Gospel is the power of God. Not gimmicks or watering down of the truth.
