Prophets

There are mysteries. Why did Brant Baker's mother, Joellen, not like Lonnie Frisbee at all? Why did a prophet get a Word from the Lord to give to Lonnie Frisbee that said he was going to die on a birthday? Why did Lonnie Frisbee die on Brant Baker's birthday? He did you know, exactly upon the birthday of Brant Baker. Why did both Brant and Lonnie die from aids? The fingerprints of God are a language of God unto it's self for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

We talk about such things, the man of God and I. We go deep into things when we talk together, deeper then most Christians would be comfortable with. Prophets are like that when they get together. There is a flow to our conversations like a streams bubbling waters flowing over the rocks in it's path towards it's destination. Each rock causes water to flow up over it creating a sound unique to that rock.

Why did Pastor Chuck Smith forbid the true uninhibited flow of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the way that Paul the apostle presented them, only giving them lip service? Why did God raise up a man, John Wimber, to leave and start the Vineyard Association of Churches with an emphasis upon moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Why was Lonnie Frisbee, the common denominator, involved in both churches at their inception?

Why was the Vineyard and Calvary Chapel on opposite sides in direct proportion to one another? One teaching the Word of God and the other inspiring through uninhibited encouragement to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

These are some of the rocks that the water of our words are flowing over, never overflowing the banks as we move along from topic to topic. From the past to the distant future and then to the present our words flow on and on.

Prophets are like that you know...

“And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” 

“For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Consider this. God has chosen you. He has chosen you to understand, He has chosen you because you were born in the time of prophetic fulfilment. Consider that God has blessed to understand His plan, His purpose, His work and His love for you. Consider that God has given you a place in His word and in His divine plan. Consider the fact that you were born for a specific time, reason and place. When the prophets were moving under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit they were speaking about the time in which you would be living, they were prophesying about events that would take place within the contextual timeframe of your lifespan. They spoke of things they did not completely understand but were positive would come to pass. Consider that you and I are living the prophetic time-line of God and are blessed to have an understanding of these things.
