Great News For The Forth Amendment!

Those of us "Baby Boomers" grew up being taught that WW II was all about freedom, liberty and the American way.

In January 1941, in his speech, Roosevelt stated that American democracy consisted of "Four Freedoms," the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of religion, the freedom from want, and the freedom from fear.

We Baby Boomers enjoyed freedom and liberty while growing up in America during the 50's.

In recent times our freedoms and liberty's have been greatly violated in many ways. We have been spied upon as if all of us are enemies of America.

This has been done without our consent, much less even knowing about it until whistle blowers started revealing what was going on behind our backs.

Our phone calls are our phone calls and no one elses business.

(Our internet usage is nobody's business but our own.

And now the U.S House of Representatives agrees.

The U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill on Wednesday that would end spy agencies' bulk collection of Americans' telephone data, setting up a potential showdown with the U.S. Senate over the program, which expires on June 1.

The House voted 338-88 for the USA Freedom Act, which would end the bulk collection and instead give intelligence agencies access to telephone data and other records only when a court finds there is reasonable suspicion about a link to international terrorism.

And of course there is this

But none of us are naive, we all know that this is all just smoke and mirrors and they will continue to violate  everyone's privacy as much as they can get away with.
