An Amtrak train has derailed in Philadelphia, injuring at least 50 of the roughly 240 people on board.
The train was on its way from Washington D.C. to New York City when it derailed around 9:20pm local time.
Former congressman Patrick Murphy, who was aboard the train, said, "It wobbled at first and then went off the tracks.
There were some pretty banged-up people. One guy next to me was passed out. We kicked out the window in the top of the train car and helped get everyone out."

The Church and Christians are failing in their mission from Jesus Christ.
New U.S. demographic data from the Pew Research Center which show that the percentage of Americans declaring affiliation with a particular religion has declined sharply since 2007.
Americans identifying as Christian dropped from 78.4% in 2007 to 70.6% in 2014.
Those describing themselves as atheist, agnostic, or simple having no affiliation took up most of the slack, rising from 16.1% to 22.8%.
Members of non-Christian faiths collectively rose from 4.7% to 5.9%.
Despite the overall decline, the demographics within the Christian group are getting much more racially and ethnically diverse.
The willingness of respondents to marry outside their religious affiliation is also on the rise.
The median age of unaffiliated adults is dropping, while the median ages of mainline Protestants and Catholics are rising.
The study estimates that 85% of adults age 70 and over are Christian, while only 56% of adults ages 18-24 are Christian.
They also say that each individual generation has shown a slight decrease in religious affiliation compared to their statistics in 2007.

Just the other day as I was driving through one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Newport Beach CA, I drove past 4 cult Jehovah's witnesses talking with one of the people who lived in that neighborhood.
These Jehovah's witnesses were not Latino but Caucasian. One of the females was very good looking.
It reminded me of the time, back in the 90's when I painted at the homes of two women.
Both were the daughters of the man, Bill Lear, who was famous for the "Lear jet."
Bill left the bulk of his fortune to the Jehovah's Witnesses cult.
Dunno, but he may have left future Lear Jet profits to them as well.
Now I see the Jehovah's Witnesses combing a very wealthy neighborhood for more gold nuggets.
The cult is wise in mining for resources, but they offer no one true salvation through Jesus Christ.
In fact they believe that Jesus Christ is a created being, the brother of Michael the angel.
Used to be, during the Jesus People day's, you would see Christians with Bibles talking with others everywhere.
Now you hardly ever see that.
But you do see JV's and Mormons...

Most people are disillusioned with organized church these days.
But most people are interested in taking with you about God and Jesus Christ, they just are not interested in "church."
I like to open with these statements when sharing my faith with others:
"Did you know that God has a plan and purpose for our lives?"
"Do you have confident assurance that if you were to die today, that you would go to heaven?"
"God is not angry with you, He loves you dearly."

Romans 12:1-2:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of god, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God...
And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
The will of God is done by a people who hold nothing back. They give the Lord their all. They are not conformed to this age. Their minds are renewed and they prove and walk in the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Stay with what God called you to do. The secret of doing the will of God is in simplifying everything until it is reduced to the one thing that is really important and then doing that.
Paul said, "Forgetting the things which are behind, this one thing I do" ( Philippians 3:13 ) .
Why was that in his thinking?
With his genius, he could easily have set up some concessions, started a special publishing company in Jerusalem, and a Christian Zion movement with converted Jews traveling through Gentile churches to take up offerings.
Paul could have been ambitious and accomplished many things, but he did not.
He was focused on only one thing.
He said, "I determined not to come to you with enticing words of man's wisdom: I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" ( I Corinthians 2:1-2 ) .
What happened?
He moved a world for God. He penned half of the New Testament by the anointing of the Spirit. He did not start out to see how many books he could write or how many different things he could do.
He had only one goal, and the outgrowth of it was tremendous as you know today.
