Memorial Day

Today we honor those who died in Wars.

Traditionally at 3:00 PM on this day we bow our heads and remember our fallen warriors.

We are so grateful for their service and ultimate sacrifice to our country and honor them today.

I have posted a few days glimpse into our own court room where we will recall the mistreatment of the world's greatest warrior who has ever lived!

We examine the illegal proceedings leading up to the death of the world's greatest fallen warrior.

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory. The victory consists in the defeat of death by the Resurrection, and the forgiveness of sin through Christ's atone-merit, and the nailing to his cross of the torn and abrogated Law which made us slaves to sin and death (Colossians 2:14).

"In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). Through our Lord Jesus Christ. Who, by fulfilling the Law, has robbed it of its condemning power (Romans 8:1), and by his death "hath destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil" (Hebrews 2:14, 15).

Jesus Christ gave His all for us that we might live for Him.

This is why Jesus came and why He died, to become the ultimate and final sacrifice, the perfect (without blemish) sacrifice for our sins (Colossians 1:22; 1 Peter 1:19). Through Him, the promise of life eternal with God becomes effective through faith to those who believe in Jesus. “So that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe” (Galatians 3:22).

These two words, faith and believing, are critical to our salvation. It is through our believing in the shed blood of Christ for our sins that we receive eternal life.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Here is a great book about Jesus that I would like to recommend.

(No I do not get any financial gain by this recommendation other than satisfaction of leading you to a wonderful resource.)
