Take Stanford courses for free

"Stanford University is offering the online world more of its undergraduate level CS courses. These free courses consist of You Tube videos with computer-marked quizzes and programming assignments. The ball had been started rolling by Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig's free online version of their Stanford AI class, for which they hoped to reach an audience in the order of a hundred thousand, a target which they seem to have achieved. As well as the previously announced Machine learning course you can now sign up to any of: Computer Science 101, Software as a Service, Human-Computer Interaction, Natural Language Processing, Game Theory, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Cryptography and Design and Analysis of Algorithms. Almost a complete computer science course and they are adding more. Introductory videos and details are available from each courses website."

"How much does it cost to make a phone app to tell local temperature and suggest how not to get heatstroke, such as drink water and avoid alcohol? If you're the U.S. Government, it'll cost you a pretty penny. Using MuckRock to file a Freedom of Information Act, Rich Jones of GUN.IO discovered the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration paid $106,467 for the Android version; $96,000 for the iPhone version, and an additional $40,000 for a BlackBerry app that never got distributed." "James Fallows writes that you don't have to idealize everything about the Occupy movement to recognize the stoic resolve of the protesters at UC Davis being pepper sprayed as a moral drama that the protesters clearly won.  'The self-control they show, while being assaulted, reminds me of grainy TV footage I saw as a kid, of black civil rights protesters being fire-hosed by Bull Connor's policemen in Alabama.  Or of course the Tank Man in Tiananmen Square,' writes Fallows.
'Such images can have tremendous, lasting power.' We can't yet imagine all the effects of the panopticon society we are beginning to live in but one benefit to the modern protest movement is the omnipresence of cameras (video) as police officials, protesters, and nearly all onlookers are recording whatever goes on bringing greater accountability and a reality-test for police claims that they 'had' to use excessive force.  'What's new is that now the perception war occurs simultaneously with the physical struggle. There's almost parity,' writes Andrew Sprung. 'You have a truncheon or gun, I have a camera. You inflict pain, I inflict infamy.'"

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony; and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.

So it was alway; the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed; and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped..

At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeted, and at the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped. And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not.
Numbers 9:15-19

Rewording it over and over, this carefully says that they only moved when God moved.
When God stood still, they stood still; when God was ready to move, they moved.
God set the pace for them. How often we can get so busy trying to survive or just get ahead in life. Concentrating on the things of this life to the exclusion of what truly matters the most.
Better it would be to time our selves to God's timing and direction.

Jesus said:
... I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture...
... My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:... I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine...
 John Chapter 10

Jesus, as our good shepherd, by His Holy Spirit, will lead us and guide us into sustenance of His pastures.
But we have to be willing to follow Him by listening for His voice and seeing where He is going. Has Jesus moved and you didn't take notice? Has Jesus spoken and you didn't listen?

Take a moment just now to time yourself to His timing. rest in Him and reestablish fellowship with Him. Regain your awareness of His direction in your own life.

On the first day of the seventh month was to be the sounding of trumpets (Leviticus 23:24).
The trumpets have always had a great significanse, yet many Christians have never understood what they meant.
If we read just ten verses in numbers 10, we can outline seven functions of the trumpets and show what they really symbolize in the spiritual walk.

And jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them.
Numbers 10:1-2.

Notice that the trumpets were to be made of beaten silver.
These trumpets could not just be molded; they had to be beaten out.
When God begins to bring the Living Word, the vessels who sound it forth are not created on an assembly line; they are beaten out by the hand of God.
 They are a beaten work.
In this day of the Living Word, if you have a ministry to sound the trumpet in Zion, you will find that you have reached the ministry through the dealings of God, His beatings upon your life that have molded you and shaped you into a vessel He wants you to be.
Learn to yield to the Holy Spirit!
