Tropical storm Rick formed today in the East Pacific and is currently moving NW at 8 MPH.
The NHC is indicating the storm will continue moving NW until
Monday, when it's forecast to move in a Northerly trek toward Southern
California.
Rick is being targeted by microwaves; the super heated
water vapor then expands radially very rapidly inside the core area and
the result is the distinct blast pattern we're seeing on the satellite
maps in the video.
Also, the rapid diminishment of the core's intensity
is evident.
