My RoadRunner Top Tier internet access almost never gives me what I pay for. Although I did get good bandwidth while watching last nights Madison Square Gardens concert for New York. But most times they throttle YouTube when I am watching stuff. Now RR may have a contender forming up...
"Forbes has a story about how FreedomPop is trying to disrupt the public Wi-fi business. From the article: 'Getting hosed by your Internet service provider may seem as inevitable as death and taxes, but a new startup aims to change that. Startup FreedomPop, which is backed by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom, DCM and Mangrove Capital, provides cheaper Internet access and the ability for people to share access with others on its network.'"

And let's not forget...
Eric Schmidt Says Google Fiber Won’t Stop With Kansas City

"Eric Schmidt also said that a £2.5 billion tax avoidance 'is called capitalism' and seems totally unrepentant. He added, 'I am very proud of the structure that we set up. We did it based on the incentives that the governments offered us to operate.' One must admit to being impressed by his honesty." Schmidt also says that if you want a job in the future you'll have to learn to “outrace the robots,” and that Google Fiber is the most interesting project they have going.

So now you know Brian B... Census numbers show that 176,632 people in England and Wales ask themselves, "What would Yoda do?" Although the number of people who list their religion as "Jedi" has dropped by more than 50% in the past 10 years, It remains the most popular "alternative" faith in England. From the article: "The new figures reveal that the lightsabre-wielding disciples are only behind Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism and Buddhism in the popularity stakes, excluding non-religious people and people who did not answer."

It's nearly January, the time of every year when Wall Street banks pay their employees and executives their annual year-end bonuses and the rest of America freaks out about how outrageously big they are.

"The FCC is considering one of the biggest regulatory changes in decades: allowing a newly available chunk of wireless spectrum to be leased by different users at different times and places, rather than being auctioned off to one high bidder. The plan is to open a new WiFi with spectrum in the 3.550 to 3.650 gigahertz band now used by radar systems. Under the proposed rule to be voted on Wednesday, users could reserve pieces of that spectrum in different regions and at different time managed by a central database. Spectrum sharing is a dramatic change with a potential to make bandwidth accessible to many users. The plan has met with mixed reviews from the cellular carriers."

With the rise of portable internet on iphones and android devices along with ipads and such, anyone can now reach a potential 5 billion people instantly. So what will you do or transmit to others? I have always believed that Christians all should have some sort of an internet presence. Think about it, after you are gone your internet presence lives on, an extension of presence if you will. Pastor Chuck Smith had all of his ministry services recorded during his prime years of the early 1970's and replays them over the radio network and the internet. He is in his 80's today and not as polished as he was in his 40's. But his 'prime presence' lives on in all of it's perfection. J Vernon Magee and the "Bible~Bus" lives on even though he is present with the Lord. Adrian Rogers still gives his fatherly love on the radio. There are others who have extended their presence. So the question is what will you do or transmit forward to others if anything??? Just asking...

"Nirvana" Reunion for 12/12/12 Sandy benefit concert feat. Paul McCartney.

Me no understand..."A woman who said she was asked to leave New Hampshire's Pheasant Lane Mall because she wanted to buy too many iPhones was pinned down by Nashua police and zapped by a Taser (video) as she shrieked in front of crowds of shoppers Tuesday. The Chinese woman from Newton, Mass blamed a language barrier for the confrontation outside the Apple Store in the Pheasant Lane Mall Tuesday afternoon. Police say Li knew exactly what they were telling her and simply refused to comply. Police said Li had $16,000 in cash in her purse at the time of her arrest and may have been purchasing the phones for unauthorized export resale."

I moved the plant for you! I Love Jesus but I drink a little...
