Hurricane Olaf has strengthened to 150 MPH winds and is beginning to change direction to the WNW.

No microwave blast patterns are apparent in this loop on the core or on the periphery of the storm except one large ring of watervapor - likely the result of a microwave targeting the core much earlier in the day.
The jet stream is being interrupted over California.
A division between the moisture field of the Low over Southern California and the moisture field in the Jet Stream itself moving clockwise around high pressure could be the result of a low and a high moving toward each other and generating a venturi effect and offshore winds.
Light to moderate Santa Ana winds are starting to blow in some of the foothill communities.
There is a high pressure zone stationed offshore of California to block a North Pacific storm front which is gradually moving East closer to the upper level low over the State, and this condition will create an offshore wind pattern.
