Equality, They Don't Want It

Leviticus 19:36

Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God...
Proverbs 11:1

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs 20:23

Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
Ezekiel 45:10

Ye shall have just balances

An idea whose time has come

.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress.

Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security , that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws.

The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform...in all of its forms.

Somehow, that doesn't seem logical.

We do not have an elite that is above the law.

I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever.

The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that.

It is an idea whose time has come.

.
Have each person contact a minimum of twenty people on their Address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution
.
"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."
.
You are one of my 20.
.

Wake up America... I can't imagine what might be considered unfair about this.

.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!
.
A friend sent this along to me.

I can't think of a reason to disagree.
.
I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between.

Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends.

My friend and neighbor wants to promote a "Congressional Reform Act."

It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
.
I know many of you will say "this is impossible."

Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval rating of any entity in Government.

Now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress - the entity that represents us.
.
We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House.

These people will become American heroes.

.
Congressional Reform Act of 2015
.
1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..
.
A. Two Six-year Senate terms

B. Six Two-year House terms

C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
.
2. No Tenure / No Pension..
.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay ra ise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%..
.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
